slept in, some news, butter pecan cake and omgoodness i gotta run

we slept til 10 this morning. i had very big plans to get up and going by 8 at the latest. but it was just a much later night than planned and wow... what a sleep!
i am working on something i can't wait to reveal to you all. i hope to post about it by wednesday. provided nothing unexpected happens between now and then. let's just say it involves a custom sign, a video, and you.... i hope!
i'm off to ice a cake. i've been meaning to share our favorite quick dessert with you. first make a betty crocker butter pecan cake mix. let cool. then ice with this UNBELIEVABY declicious brown sugar frosting. it's super easy to make! i double the recipe for a 9 x 13 cake. click the link below for the frosting recipe.
yummy..... oh, p.s. i use milk instead of water with the cake mixes. and i don't add the vanilla that the frosting recipe calls for.
