Gratitude Week – 5 days of Give Aways

sophiefrontbenback2

Happy Monday.

How was your weekend?

I wanted to thank you all for the amazing support you have given me over this past few weeks!!  I know I have been offering up quite a few things…the recipe book, the iMac Pack, the Test Kitchen Membership.  And you all have been extremely supportive.  So this week is dedicated to giving back! No Special Offers or Product Promos this week.  (Although I am still a little short on funds for the iMac…as I now realize I underestimated the cost of the must have ‘dream’ machine.  But that’s okay. I know I will have one soon… and I owe that to all of you!!)

So this week is dedicated to sharing and give aways.

I will start today off with a FAB GIVE AWAY.

1 lucky commenter will win a Photoshop-Art of Texture eCourse Scholarship – a $99.00 value. And a second lucky commenter will win a Photoshop The Skinny eCourse Scholarship – a $29.00 value.

Here’s how you can play along.  Add a comment below to enter the give away.  Please note in your comment why you would like to win one of the scholarships.  Or if you would like to enter a friend to win, simply tell me a little about why you would like your friend to win.

And for a second shot at winning, simply tweet about the 5 days of Give Aways. Here’s a simple line to copy and paste if you would like to tweet about it.

@kimklassen 5 days of giveaways. http://kimklassencafe.com

Once you tweet about this, come on back and let me know in the comments.

So if you comment once and then come back and let me know you tweeted about it in a second comment, you will double your chances to win.

I will be announcing the entire week’s give away winners on Friday.  I will be back tomorrow with another Give Away announcement.

What do Ben & Sophie have to do with the Give Aways?  Nothing really…. other than they are so cute I wanted to share a few pics throughout the week.  :)

Again, I am truly so very thankful for your support.  Have a fantastic week!

xxo,

I would love-LOVE to win one of your scholarships! I am new to photography and have enjoyed playing around with different elements and some of your free textures but I would love to take it to the next level. I am intimidated by Photoshop and barely know how to begin!

OH, and I tweeted about this too :D

Can I enter myself AND a friend? We're both totally into the photoshopping thing. She's more on the scrapping side and I'm more on the photo editing side. She and I would both be totally stoked to win one of these classes!

I have had Photoshop CS3 on my computer for 3 yrs. I have been totally afraid to go in and play. You make it very enjoyable and not scary at all. I love taking pictures and want to learn to process them into beautiful photos. Thank you for just being you!

Kim - I would love to win the Photoshop-Art of Texture eCourse Scholarship and learn more about using your amazing textures! Brian

Kim I would love this ;-)

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterFrida

First of all, I just want to say that I have been a HUGE fan of you and your work for a while now. I just started my photography business back in May and have since learned so much more than I could have dreamed of learning... but looking around at all of these other photographers and yourself, I realize that I've barely scratched the surface. I have so little money, because where I live, everyone is poor and out of work; and so therefore, unfortunately, that means no school for me anytime soon. So to win this, would not only be amazing, but it would teach me something new that I can use in my business to hopefully grow it!

Oh, I know just the person I'd love to give your Skinny e-course to. She is my first and best-est blog friend and is beginning to try PSE & using textures. She would love your course!
Thanks Kim for all you give to all of us.

Kim - these giveaways are soooooo freakin' exciting! Personally I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win the scholarship for the Art of Texture ecourse. I spent the bulk of 2009 learning to use Photoshop Elements for digital scrapbooking, but didn't really delve into the photo editing side of things. I have spent this year trying to improve my photography and learn how to use the various functions of my digital camera (an ancient Canon Rebel). Now that I'm taking some decent "artistic" type photos, I'd love to carry that creativity a step farther and really learn what the textures are and how to use them! I love the stuff you do with your photos, but really am at a loss when it comes to using your textures!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterCheri

I would love to win either scholarship. I've had PSE8 for at least six months now and the only thing I use it for is to sew photos together. I am eager to learn layers & textures. My friend, Karla, pointed me to your site and I just love what you are doing here. Thanks!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMicki

Love the pic of the dogs!
I am participating in your free Skinny course and I'm loving it already! I would love to try and win either of your scholarships. I am a total wet-behind-the-ears newbie (what does that even mean?!?). LOL!
I love your teaching style though and I"m so glad I found you!
Take it easy

Would love to learn how to use photoshop with your courses! The kids are all in full day school, I have me first slr digital and no excuse (except for bills, housework, homework and general life maintainance!) not to do something for myself :) Love your textures on fridays- thanks for those.

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered Commentermelissa c

I would so love to win this e-course! I have been amazed at what your textures can do. However, I was touched by Frida's comment and would like her to have my entry. Being a small business person, I know how difficult it can be to keep afloat in these tough times. Best of luck to you , Frida. And thanks, Kim for your generousity!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMadelin C. Wolf

I would love to win either of these prizes. I find the more I learn about Photoshop & textures the more there is to learn. What a great way to uncover my artistic side!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMichelle in Mi

Wow what an amazing prize. Would love to know more about using my Photoshop to its fullest potential instead of spending hours tweaking and deleting, trying to figure out how it all works.
Spent some six months in France and collected a wonderful selection of photographs which are just crying out to be used in a creative way.
Thanks for the opportunity to take part.

Kim,
I want to win the art of texture course. There's so much to learn in photoshop and you are such a great teacher!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKristy Life-n-Reflection

I just hit the tweet button for my followers!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKristy Life-n-Reflection

I have all these wonderful tools (great camera, photoshop etc.) and soooo many creative ideas roamiing around in my head but don't really understand how to put it all together. I learned how to use the camera when my daughter was in high school and played competitive sports. Really whetted my interest in broadening my photo taking opportunities. Would love to take your course and learn how to put it all togeher.

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered Commenternancy b

I would love to win one of the scholarships! I am fairly new to photoshop and am taking in everything I can right now to learn more to enhance my photos!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterVolree Wade

Thanks so much for this generous offer, Kim. You should know by now how I feel about you and all you have done for those of us who want to be photographers/Photoshop editors. I'm having the time of my life. For the next four years I want to learn as much as possible, then retire and do almost nothing else. You have already helped me so much. I finished the Skinny and am about to take the Skinny Mini. The next step should be learning more about textures so that class would be great for me. Whoever you pick will be lucky and will learn a lot. Thanks again, Kim.

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJo Nelson

Oh Kim, how I would love to win one of your scholarships! You see, after taking a Photoshop class, getting a Photoshop for Dummies book and trying many tutorials on the web, I STILL am Photoshop illiterate! I want to make beautiful photos like yours! My friend and I just recently got fancy, schmancy cameras and go on many photo shoots together but my pics still need some tweeking - ya know what I mean? Please, PLEASE, pick me!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterConnie

Wow! This would be so fabulous! Now that I've retired, I have more time to fool around with PSE and this give-away would help me in my explorations!

You are so generous with your talent! I appreciate how much I've learned from you!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterCasey

For me, and I suspect for you, it's all about art... and that's why I want to win. To learn, to grow and the discover new ways to make art. With your expertise, your amazing tools and a little guidance I can do the things I've always dreamed of doing with my photos. Thanks for the chance to win! And speaking of gratitude, thank YOU for sharing your talent with us.

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJan

How fun!!!! I'd like to be selfless and say I'd give it to someone else, but the truth is I would LOVE to win! I'm planning to use some of my vacation the rest of this year to brush up on my skills.

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJamie S

i am entering for my daughter in law, Amy. would love her to have this opportunity! she's just back from a scholarship trip with 2500 photos [seriously!] to process for her uni gallery presentation and this would be an amazing gift to give her... HUGE THX !!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterFaith Hope Cherrytea

I recently just dropped a bundle on a new camera. So, now what? I don't know how to edit all the wonderful photos I am taking, and they need help. I am learning the camera, but eekk...I need the photoshop help. And you are the master! I adore looking at your stuff!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterTawnya

I am a lawyer. Or should I say, WAS a lawyer. As strange as it sounds, being laid off from a high pressure litigation job in March of '09 was the best thing that ever happened to me. Since then, I have reignited my passion for photography ( I was a journalist in a former life) and have started to reclaim my bliss! I started my own portrait photography biz which is growing slowly but surely.
I originally learned my photography skills in the dark ages when there was only film - I am struggling to catch up and learn everything there is to know about the digital revolution. I love love love textures and actions! I am proficient in PS, but I hope to become a master at it someday! Unfortunately, my paychecks are inversely proportionate to the happiness I now have pursuing my photography career, but oh well, money ain't everything, right? I'd love to win one of your scholarships to help my dream move in the right direction. Thanks!!!
P.S. You have been Tweeted!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterClaudia Eubanks

I would love to win because I really have a desire to learn all the tricks of the trade in using textures. I adore textures because they can take an ordinary image and make it beautiful! I've seen comments where people are talking about painting around the subject, painting over the face and dodging and burning and I have no idea how to do any of that. I love all of your images and would love to learn how to make my images sings with textures also! :)

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterDebra

I have not really commented to try to win before, just not something I have ever done.

But win or not, thank you for all you do! You have been an inspiration, a way to expand my images in ways I had only invisioned in my mind.

Thanks bunches!!!!!

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJacque

Hi Kim,

I've had Elements for years and until I found your blog, I used it only to crop and color correct pictures. Now I'm taking more photographs just to have more pictures to Photoshop. I'd love to win a scholarship to justify all of the time I spend on this computer. I think I told you, I forget to cook dinner for my family, my house is a wreck since I'm on the computer all of the time (when my kids aren't home!). If I won something I could say "see look what I won, that's for being on the computer working in Photoshop and going all over taking pictures all of the time." I know they'd roll their eyes (what kids don't?) and say "whatever", but I would know how much it means. Thanks for everything.

October 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKathe

Hello Kim :) The reason I would love to win is because I am on a contionus learning journey with my photography. I look forward to learning new things and implimenting them in my photography. Once I cease to learn more about my craft I will cease to create my art.
Even if I don't win thank you so very much for your generosity and inspiration.

I would love to win because I KNOW what an incredible teacher you are and I am certain I could learn a ton. A year ago I was mooning over your images and staring blankly at my new PSE program. Today I still struggle with many functions but I have been able to make some passably good images thanks to your tute's and textures. I am truly grateful!

Hello Kim...what a WONDERFUL give-away! You are so generous. I would like to win because I really need to fulfill my creative side...I've gotten away from it over the years (having 5 children then divorce yadda yadda) and I feel the need to do something creative with my life. We live on a little farm in Kansas so life can get a little boring and I think learning how to use Photoshop would really give me an outlet to be more creative with my pictures. So...please put my name in the hat...thanks! Maura

I would like to win because I have heard awesome things about your teaching and admire your work. I love working with textures and PS and would love to improve my skills to figure out if this is something I really want to be when I finally "grow up". I'm a Mom who loves being a Mom, but need to find a legacy to leave my children so they know I was more than just their mom.
