A Grey Day Freebie Friday Texture Offering

Hello, my sweet friends.

How was your week?  I can't believe Friday has come and almost gone already.  I'm popping in late with your sweet texture treat.

I've been hearing the colour grey is HOT this season...  So I thought I'd incorporate some greys into today's gift....

Here's a peek a book at the texture.

The base of this texture was a sheet of torn antique wallpaper...i then added some handmade paper layers along with an old frame to add some interest to the edges...  if you aren't into the frame...simply pull out the corner... and voila... it's gone. :)

My Texture Lovin' List Members...  your download link is on it's way...

If you are not on my list, feel free to sign up HERE and you can get started receiving my freebie fridays and other goodies right away.

I'm still enjoying my make-shift photo studio... the 'white room'...and  today there was some lovely light streaming in...  so i snapped these stills.

it was quite dreamy, actually..... i think the sun was reflecting off the snow.....

Kay, my friends... it's 11:30 pm...  probably Saturday for many of you... So I will stop jabbering and hit publish....  But first...  a little greeting from Ben & Sophie...  Take their advice and have some fun this weekend.. life's short....

p.s. i shared a recipe and tutorial here, in case you missed it.

p.s.s.  Yes, we woke up to snow yesterday..... 'sigh'...

I hear music! I see fireworks! My shaking has stopped! You are back among us!! Yea!!! I woke up to snow today. We could get up to 10". The joy of Minnesota - Monday and Tuesday this week I wore flip flops and no jacket. Today it will be boots. Ya gotta love it. Your perfect texture couldn't have come at a better time - it is truly a gray day here. I'll be out this afternoon snapping and editing. Can't wait. Have a wonderful weekend.

What a lovely photo of romping through the snow - SNOW? I love how quiet the world is when it is snowing. Thanks for the good start to my day!

GORGEOUS! The texture that is - not the snow-- I know it's almost the middle of November, but I am SO not ready for the white stuff yet. Maybe in another month ... :-)

Thanks for the email about the res change. I was surprised when I saw the small low res original file, but I liked it so much, I downloaded it anyway :-) Now all I have to do is find time to work it. I have several articles that have to be written first. I had to stop in and say Thanks though. I really do love your textures.

What a beautifully subtle texture! I am new to your texture list and I received the email link and when I first accessed it I saw the grey-day texture but then it changed to the livelovelaughter texture. Now, that's lovely too and I downloaded it, but is there another way to get to the grey-day texture?

November 13, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterAmy E

Hello Kim,
I got the download in my email but it was for the livelovelaughter texture, I already have that one. Would love to play with the grey day texture. Can you send the link for that download, please. Hope you are having a nice weekend. Hugs

Gorgeous dreamy white photo! I envy you the snow - we don't get much in the Pacific NW, but it's on the forecast... crossing my fingers!
