texture tuesday and the 2 for deal returns....

oh my word, it's tuesday again.

it's crazy how fast our time zips away....

especially in the summer.

anyhow, i seem to mention time zipping by quickly ....

way too often....

enough of that....

.....

i have 2 new texture to share....

'broken book'                                                                          'graduation day'

i had to give them a try or 2.....of course.

.....

i met this sweet beauty on saturday.

i couldn't go and actually pet her.... because the ditches are FULL of water.

so we just had to talk from a distance.

what  a sweet girl...

she posed in several places along the fence....a true gift in my day...

here's the scoop on processing this image.

i did a black to white adjustment layer

added a tinge of color back to the image.

added the 'graduation day' texture

then a final levels adjustment....

allowing the darks to pop a little.

that's it.

.....

and then we traveled a little further along the road...

and we stopped to take some more pictures...

i found the loveliest black eyed susans growing in the ditch....

so i had to photograph them of course.

so for this image...

i added a gradient map adjustment layer - black to white set to soft light.

then i added 'graduation day' at multiply 100%

and then a layer of 'broken book' at soft light 100%

i desaturated the broken book texture a little

and finished with a levels adjustment.

okay, i must go to bed....

the mosquitoes are buzzing around my head... i can not take it.... ugh.

it's tuesday at 12:20 am.

and i have the only light on in the house ....

so all the giant mosquitoes that found their way in throughout the day are right here with me....

'sigh'
