something big is brewing... bursting to share

happy monday.....

i hope you are all well....
oh my gosh, my day started off a little rough...
actually a lot rough...
i missed a call from the school this morning.
i  was in the shower...
anyhow, i checked the messages and
heard...
"this message is for bryce... he has a provincial exam this morning.
and he's not here.  it's now 9:10 am."
i gulped, looked up at the clock and it was 9:20 am.
normally he has a spare first class.
bryce is in grade 12, possibly graduating, possibly not.
it's been a tough few years...
anyhow, he was asleep.
i woke him up.... and i wasn't very pleasant.
told him to get up quick....
yadda, yadda...
'how could you not know you had an exam, bryce?'
he was like 'i thought it was at 1:00'...
ugh...
rush, rush.. as much as he can rush.... he has one speed... and that's his speed.
jump in the car to zip him to school... just brewing with every possible emotion...
we didn't even say goodbye.
what a way for him to go into an exam!  ugh....
:(
hanging my head....
i totally let my emotions get the better of me.
i should have remained calm...but no... i was bordering on hysterical....
after i settled down, i texted him telling him i loved him and i hoped it went well....
ugh....

.......

okay, anyhow, when i hopped out of the car, there in the corner of the garden
was this beautiful poppy....
and it took my breath away...
and it made me think in that moment... everything was okay...
i literally stopped, thanked God for the moment, and then...grabbed my camera...
:)
(see the softer version on 2bbb..not sure which i like better)

so, bryce made it thru the exam....  they didn't turn him away for being late...
that alone is a miracle...

and the day carried on.....

perhaps tomorrow will be a bit better from the beginning...

deep sigh
.......

now onto some good stuff!!

i have lots of goodness brewing around here.
i'm just about ready to spill.....
but not quite.

basically my top image is a little, tiny hint of something big and fun and fabulous....
i am planning.
stay tuned....i'm hoping to spill by wednesday...

B U R S T I N G

and there's more....but it must wait for another day....

'sigh'

oh, i do have one thing i can share today though.

tomorrow...
i'm starting something fun and fabulous....

2 for 2 dollar
texture tuesday

i will have 2 new funky and fabulous textures available for purchase....

and for tuesday only...
they will be 2 for $2.00
after midnight the price will jump to 2 for $4.00

it should be fun to see how it goes...
i think you will love the ones i have created for tomorrow...

and not to worry...i will still share fabulous freebies along the way.
i promise.

so pop in tomorrow and check it out...
:)
.....

well i should go, get back to it....
just looked at the clock and it's 4 already....

sending love...
xxo,

Oh, parenting & nurturing teenagers can be challenging at best. The best I can do is offer a warm parenting hug. ♥ My gosh that poppy print is awesome. Can I ask what lens you use for that? Can’t wait for your big news & I’m looking forward to your 2 for 2, I’m really getting into textures right now, and could use a few more.

Whoa. What a morning! But I am exciting that you have news to share. Can't wait to hear!

That poppy is over-the-moon gorgeous. Simply stunning. Amen for those moments that stop us short and make us take a deep breath of thanks.

I'm glad that Bryce got to write his exam but worry that he managed to finish since he was so late. My best wishes for a pass!
With my old eyes or something I do find it very difficult to read the light grey writing on the white background my dear. I think I've picked up most of what you wrote and I am wishing you a great launch. I'll try to stop by tomorrow. If not, congratulations!

Oh, I feel your pain. Mine are 11, 15 and 17. I got a call from my husband while I was in Savannah on Friday morning at 4:30am! The cops called, they have my eldest over by the school. He was seen loitering with a backpack. He said he couldn't sleep so he "went for a walk." AT 4:30 AM???? I may never know... but the empty nest is looking very nice. Ugh and *big sigh*

oh tammy, so very glad to know i am not alone...
i swear pg and i should have recorded our skype conversation this morning to share with all the moms of teens....

it was quite the convo... her boys are the same age as bryce... twins... can you imagine? :)

seriously the empty nest... bring it on...

my oldest, lives 30 minutes away but works here in town... to save money he comes and stays 2 or 3 nights a week... yeesh....
and ugh...

good thing we love them... 'sigh'

I am happy to hear that Bryce was able to take the exam even though late...ours are 18, 15, and 11...busy all three and there are many days like you explained of.

I am really loving the poppy print and am very excited to hear of your news. Will be watching to see what it is....wishing you a slower paced morning tomorrow.
Have a wonderful evening ~ Rebecca

Looking forward to your good news.
Just sing "I will survive" with a smile. It will get better, that is for sure.

oh kim ...

you have had quite a doozy of a day ...
downs and ups ... (really looking forward to you sharing the 'ups' ... yay!) ...

anyways, i know we aren't alone in this 'stage of the game' ...

i wish none of us had to go through this, but it is reassuring that others have gone before us ...

and have survived ... ;)

on that note ~ you might want to check back to 2bbb today ...

thanks, marilyn!!

Both images are just truly stunning, here and at 2bbb, I can't decide either. And you brought me back to my son just a few years back, he always did well in school but also always seemed to do just the bare minimum to get by, and the forgetting and the sleeping and the getting hysterical...aaargh. And now he has graduated college and is still here at home and sometimes I feel things are just the same. Aaargh, again.
But it will get better, they will be fine, we will be fine. Deep breath...

Being a mom is NOT for sissy's...you are doing a great job. Your heart for your boys shines through everything you do. One of the hardest things about being a mom used to be quickly saying I'm sorry...I've done so much wrong that these days it comes pretty easy. Hummm, I suppose God planed it that way.
I'm saying prayers for Bryce often...sending all of you hugs from so far away...xoxo
OHHHHHH, I Adore both of these shots...that poppy, well I could drown in that beautiful image.
Ummm, is is Wednesday yet?????

my son is a senior, too and it's been a terribly rough year. he won't be graduating with his class, since he failed one that he needed the credits in. so, summer online class, here we come.

he is all registered for technical school in the fall...criminal justice....but he just couldn't get his act together to finish high school the normal way....so our summer will be a bit stressful, but hopefully now he has learned a lesson....

i'm sending you a mother to mother hug...i wish we could sit and talk over a cup of tea.....

tell me again, what state are you in ? we might have to plan a get-together.
