g o o d n e s s & g r a t i t u d e

happy day, my friends.

had to pop in and share some goodness & gratitude
today....

lots to show you ....

look what i found in the mail....
the latest somerset life issue
what a GORGEOUS cover, yet again...
stampington ... you ROCK!

i was so excited to flip thru this new issue.
just the feel of the pages alone is enough for me.
honestly, so fabulous.

i found a ton of goodness....and wanted to share just a few highlights.

first my friend and blog crush....
tracey of french larkspur
is featured.
and it's a beautiful spread.
congrats to you tracey.  you are AMAZING.

then there was this sweet article....
'recipe cards: tied and treasured'
alice's blog thoughts from alice w
is so sooo beautiful.
i would flippity-fli- flip to get my hands on some lovely old recipe cards like these.
wouldn't you?
'sigh'

oh and then this idea... i ADORE this.
paula parkinson, creates little tags from patterned paper to hand out to servers
to thank them for a job well done.
i mean... seriously...  how fab is that?
'love'
sigh

and this article by christen oliverez, on how artist ludid ryu create a beautiful journal
completely from scratch.
i so admire people who work with fabric.

and finally as i was flipping thru the pages,
i came upon this...
:)
my little blackberry image....
i didn't realize it was in there....so when i saw it, i did a double take...
like, "hey, that looks familiar."
:)
thank you so much stampington

......

and there's more
:)

i shared with you last week about my lovely surprise in the mail.
a prayer shawl from my sweet friend gail....
i just had to take a few pics of it .... along with the lovely note gail sent.
and what better place to photograph it then the front porch swing.

thank you again and again....gail.
i will truly cherish this gift...forever.

check out the little beading along the edge...here's a little close up
sooo perfect!

.....

and last but not least......

my sweet friend dana barbieri, is sharing an interview with me....
for her series 'art biz mama'

isn't that just the most perfect name?

please pop over and say hi...
and check out dana's lovely artwork
and perhaps read some of her other artist interviews
they are really so inspirational.
:)

thank you dana for the interview.
i'm completely honored....

....

okey doke....i'm signing off for now...
i have oodles to do for next weeks stay-cation workshop.

are you in? :)

xxo,

Hi Kim - just curious, you said you weren't aware that your photo was in the magazine - did they approach you for approval to publish the shot?

Hi Kim,
I have to admit, when I saw your name in that edition, I was so excited! I showed it to my husband and told him that you had been in the Flying Lessons class. It is so fun to "know" some the artist that are being featured in the Somerset Studios mags. I love, love, love everything they put out, even stuff I have no intention of ever doing (like knitting!) because the photos are beautiful and the bios just encourage the heck out of me! I can't begin to imagine how excited (and proud) you must be. Revel in it....

her love in every stitch to bring you comfort and joy
when you may need it most ...
