Spice Up your Images with 2 Fab Freebie Textures
Happy Friday! How’s the weather in your world? It’s been unusually frosty in ours. I actually put the extra quilt on our bed last night! Yikes! I’m hoping we will have a little more summer before we head into our frosty winter months. But my oh my… I’m all about warm and cozy these days. There’s something wonderful about snuggling under the covers, when the air is chilly. Thick socks and cozy sweaters…..spicy candles burning. I love it!! Autumn is my favourite season by far.
So this cooler weather seems to be inspiring warm and cozy textures as well. I have 2 freebies for you today. Cinnamon and Nutmeg. :) And a few before and afters to share. Be sure to mouse over to see the before image.
But first here’s today’s textures.
Texture Lovin’ List Members – I am sending you the link in just a few minutes. And if you aren’t on my list and would like to start receiving freebie friday textures and all kinds of good news … you can sign up HERE.
Here’s my sweet daisies with today’s textures. I desaturated the image and then used both textures set to soft light at 70% opacity. The textures seemed to create an old world effect. I think.
And my sweet portable typewriter is still posing. I converted this image to a basic black and white and then added both textures at soft light opacity 55%. This i think has a mysterious feel to it. Gosh I love what a texture can do to an image. ‘sigh’
So that’s it for now. I have to tell you the cookbook is coming together. But not quite as quickly as I had hoped. I won’t make anymore promises. But my hope is Monday’s post will be all about it! I’m seriously bursting. This week was a little less productive. I’ve been fighting a sinus infection and dealing with some other ‘life’ stuff…. but it’s all good!
Happiest weekend my friends! lots of love….
xxo,

Yet again....gorgeous work!!! :-) You always inspire me.
Yes it is chilly here too, had to run back outside when I realized I could see my breath in the night air to see what it was and it is actually 49 degrees at this moment, so I'm thinking it will be much cooler come morning. Guess I should start covering the tender flowers and plants to protect them for a bit longer. Have a wonderful weekend ~ Rebecca
