5 Fact Friday - Inside my Head

Hello friends,

Happy Friday.... we decided to continue 5 Facts over at ROY. I may not be able to 'join in' every week... But I do love it!! Please feel free to play too!! Everyone is welcome.

I thought I'd share 5 facts that are running through my very FULL head today......

Fact 1. I can't wait to get caught up. I love having time to just be...take pictures.... edit..... deep breaths.... and I really wish I could pull of these ugly gray sweats I'm wearing today...... they look good on some... but not me...  Sooo comfy though. hmmmm.

Fact 2. One boy moved...the other next week.... All week I've felt like an ATM machine...... Brett 'mom, best mom ever... umm, do you think you could slide $$ into my account for this...for that?'.... and so on...  'sigh'

Fact 3. Friends...who get 'it'...get 'you'.... are such a life-line..... So thankful for a skype convo with Xanthe yesterday... It had been way too long...and oh my.... did we have some releasing to do. :)

Fact 4. Is it just me, or are boys/men much louder at EVERYTHING they do? Yeesh! What a racket.... lol

Fact 5. Listening to Steven Pressfield's book The War of Art....  so many lightbulb moments every time I relisten...Yeesh... That Resistance thing is BIG.

Tell me.... what's inside your head today?

xo, Kim

Love your cup of tea image, and that font is wonderful. Your ATM statement is so right on! I remember when my son was the age of your boys. He seemed to think my pocketbook had no bottom! Take heart, they do grow out of it! Things in my head today include looking forward to the Lightroom course & of course Oasis! Have been feeling a little sad to see the gardening season end. At least I have many, many photographs of this year's garden. Have a beautiful weekend!

My head is full of random and constant don't want to be in there! lol

What a lovely image, Kim - you have so much going on, and I bet a lot of emotions, too, with your sons both moving out. Remember to breathe and be gentle with yourself, OK? I agree with you on the sweats - they're so comfy but, oof, not very flattering on this body of mine. Comfort trumps flattery, though, when I'm inside the house. :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Colleague mom with moving out sons :)
It's like I'm reading in echo.... The ATM comparison is spot on!!! And ours is sooo clever. He called me from work yesterday asking:" mom, dad, if you find the time - you don't have to - If it's difficult then don't bother - but could you fetch me already the paint for my apartment?" You get the drift? He didn't ask for money, but knows so well that when we go to the store to get it, we pay for it and don't ask it back.... Clever eh? ;)

And yes, I confirm, boys are louder in everything: closing doors, putting their plates down, cutting their meat - sometimes we tell him: hey, do you mind? We still need those plates tomorrow.... Just imagine the noise they make when doing something soo important like moving out...!!!

I spent whole week cleaning in his apartment, because the former tenant left a mess. I disinfected, soaped... The kitchen cupboards turn out to be white, not a yakky brownish yellow! A bucket of clear water turns into mud in no time :0

But we have to keep breathing, Kim, and not mind the grey sweat shirts or slobby sweat pants.... We can do with a little comfort these days, even some comfort food will help: a nice piece of chocolate, a delicious cup of tea... With nobody around... In the quiet of the moments.... Mmm just a little peace and quiet... A sweet memory...
Take care!

I am alone today and everyone has gone out or to work,oh how I needed a healthy dose of solitude. Why is it the day I dress in painting gear I almost never paint but if I get dressed to go out I always see something that needs a touch up here or there. My kids think I am a walking ATM.Must give that book a listen,Enjoyed you post.
