{5 on Friday} Today's Walk

And a Lovely new Texture to Try.

Hello, how are you?

I have so much to say....but can't seem to find the words..... So, I will share some photos from our walk today.

I'm linking up with Reflection of You - 5 on Friday..... the last one for 2012..... come play if you like.....

I'm so thankful it's a little warmer.... the frost is pretty too.... it's been so cold that my iPhone simply shut down a few times this week.....Ugh....

Ben's cousin Sophie...She's always close by.....

And...this owl......

A gift...... The pups spotted 'him' first.....Ben was under the tree looking up as I kept walking ahead...snapping pics...and then, right above he took flight.....

Hmmm, not really 5 photos... perhaps 5 facts..... maybe? :)

All images captured with my iPhone...some textured with the new December collection set. Test Kitchen members grab 'em quick.... they are quite lovely.

Before I sign off....there's still time to get in on the savings for Beyond...Beyond and my Lightroom class, Round Trip

Until next time.... Happy weekend....

So much love....

p.s. Oh, could I forget.... a texture to share..... 1412

These lovely photos have me longing for snow.....we can't seem to get any.... How exciting ... it looks like a hawk? These textures are just awesome, Kim!! I'm going right over to the TK and download them! Thank you so much.

Kim, I love it when you capture snowflakes on the nose's of dogs :) These are beautiful photos; such stunning scenery. My husband is going to be based in Vancouver early next year; excited about visiting Canada. I love getting out and immersing myself in nature - looking forward to finding snowy places. Thank you, as always, for sharing your photos.

Lovely... just lovely... The hues blend so well with the winter landscape, and I so look forward to trying out the new texture - thank you!
The only thing I'm missing here is... what bird is it?!? ;)

You live in a winter wonderland! Mostly we get grey in the winter, especially come January and early February. I'm not really complaining though, I like the warmer climates. I'll live my winter vicariously when you and Ben share your walks with me.

Thank you for sharing your lovely textures.

Though I've been taking pictures since I was twelve (yep, I'm of the film generation), I still consider myself only a serious amateur. I've always loved seeing the world through the lens. It captures so much more than the naked eye, and really helps us focus on our surroundings.

I do find texture usage a challenge, but I'm learning, slowly. And that's what it's about right? Learning, and improving.

Thanks again.

I get cold just looking at the photos! The owl picture is amazing how you captured it in flight!

Oh my, that owl is magical! I think we have one living near our home, and now that the trees are bare, I read how to go looking for him. I'd be excited to see him just sleeping in the tree - but wow, that shot of him flying....

Such gorgeous pictures Kim. Makes me wish our constant rain would turn white and fluffy.
I'm heading over to the TK to pick up those gorgeous textures. Thank you so much for your
continued generosity. I'm also signing up for Lightroom Round Trip. Hubby just gifted me with the program. :)

Wonderful! That owl is fabulous. Have never managed to catch one in flight, only perched on a limb or roof. Your photos and edits are always an inspiration. Thanks for the texture.

So lovely, Kim! Thank you for the new texture. I am one of those odd ball who simply loves cold, cold weather, so I am envious. In Indiana it has been much too warm for December . . . today it was 51 (Fahrenheit). I want some cold and I want some snow :)

I have to admit that this year I'm appreciating that I don't have long, snowy, cold winters to deal with here in my new home. But this set of images are just lovely, really capturing the beauty of winter. And that owl - amazing and beautiful! Magical indeed.

Although we have had a cold snap recently it is back to the usual rain at the moment, typical NW England are so lucky to have 'proper seasons'! Thanks for the texture, Kim, I contunue to be grateful for all that you do!

Oh I would love to experience snow like this for a short time! Even in my Pennsylvania childhood it wasn't quite this snowy ...or cold. Freezing the iPhone is...eek!

Hi Kim. LOVED your owl shot. A friend and I are always watching for the owls when we go walking ... too cool! Don't you love winter walks? All bundled up, crazy dog antics and come in with rosy cheeks? We are awaiting some snow here in the Ottawa area shortly. We have a tiny covering but it needs to be "freshened up". I need to get out to clear my head today.

I love these whimsical images. just beautiful. I hope you stay warm and cosy this winter, but still enjoy being out in the snow.
I've only been to the snow once. One day I hope to go and have a white Christmas.
