Happiest Sunday, Sweet Friends.....

How are you?

I hope your weekend has been beautiful....
I'm happy to report, after a Saturday of wind, rain and plain old dreariness....the sun is back and it's a beautiful day!
Woo hooo.....
I have a sweet little texture treat for you.... I call this one... 'not too shabby'.....

I decided I would share the link directly in this post today....

Click HERE to download 'not too shabby'.....

Want more freebies..... Not on my Texture Lovin' list? Freebie Textures are waiting for you... simply sign up HERE and get some immediate goodies in your inbox!

Today's image recipe....

short & sweet

layer 1 - background image

layer 2 - 'not too shabby' at soft light 100% and removed texture from the blossoms

layer 3 - another layer of 'not too shabby' at soft light 83%.  Again I removed the texture from the blossoms.

layer 4 - curves adjustment to increase the contrast - also could be achieved with a levels adjustment... adjust the mid slider.

layer 5 - created a new blank layer and brushed the background with a black soft round brush at 50%. Changed the blend mode to soft light.... (this added a little more depth and brought out the texture detail as well.

The End. :)

Here's to a fabulous week ahead.....

P.S. Absolutely LOVE hearing your weekend plans....I've read every single comment...... Thanks for playing along... I look forward to announcing the give away winners Thursday.

P.S.S. just to clarify Canada's 'May Long' is a celebration of Victoria Day.

Wikapedia - It is a federal Canadian statutory holiday celebrated on the last Monday on or before May 24, in honour of both Queen Victoria's birthday and the current reigning Canadian sovereign's official birthday. It is sometimes informally considered as marking the beginning of the summer season in Canada.

Thanks so much Kim....was looking for something to process some wild apple blossoms I picked this am and this wonderful gift landed in my mailbox. You're a dear. I'll post it on Flickr tomorrow. This week-end is for a gardening marathon. Putting the last of the seeds in...squash and already lots of weeds to contend with. Weather is a little "iffy" here in southern Ontario.

Hi Kim~ Thanks again for being SO generous! LOVE This light texture and the recipe right there. It's raining once again here in CT perhaps I'll do a photo using it to brighten my day!

Blessings to you!

Thanks Kim. I spent the weekend dodging raindrops and trying to get the lawn mowed after a week of rain. I needed a herd of goats. Finally got it done and awoke to the sound of raindrops again this morning. Whew. Got that last part of the lawn done just in time. The good news is that those blossoms and blooms look fantastic with all this rain. And yes, I have photos!
