Birthday Week Finds - And Your Freebie Texture(s) Await....

Hello friends,

Happy Monday!! How was your weekend?

Mine was smashing!!  :) And I have to say I am really glad I took the time to soak it up, enjoy life, my family... fresh air and the sunshine.... because we are in for an entire week of rain....

The city just 30 minutes from our little town has been declared a state of emergency... homes are being evacuated, roads into and out of the city have been shut down.... The Canadian army has been called in....

So I have not one thing to complain about! But I am praying the rain stops.... and soon!

Today I wanted to share my birthday week goodies...  I self-declared this past week, my birthday week....and gave myself a little prop budget.... What could be better than shopping for bargain props?  :)

I wanted to share a few of my finds with you all. I just know you will appreciate them much more than my house of boys!

So let's get to it.....

I had some fun processing today's images with one of my fav textures called Sonnet2 from The Studio Collection... along with a new magic texture that I just released to the Test Kitchen members.  If you are a TK member be sure to download the set.  It's pretty fab I must say....I will have more details on how everyone can get it along with the other 3 textures in the magic set in tomorrow's texture tuesday posting. {Or join the Test Kitchen and it's yours for FREE.}

Found this FAB pitcher at Winners (Canada's version of TJ Max)....  I adore the shape and details....

Then I found these sweet little bowls... so pretty... had to have them..... Here they are in Black & White....

and here they are in color..... Okay so I had some fun in photoshop...  they are actually a lovely blue.....  but I couldn't resist muting the tones....

They came in soft green and blue.... So I nabbed what they had.....

I do have a few more treasures to share.... but I will stop here. :)

And now for today's new freebie texture. And seeing as it's Mother's Day Week..... how bout 2 Freebies? I can't wait to see what you all do with these.

P.S. As a belated Mother's Day offering.... I have a $10.00 coupon code for the Studio Collection. To save, simply key in 'textureloving' in the discount box. Code will expire this Friday.

P.S.S. Texture Lovin' Listers - today's freebie download link is coming your way.... if you are not on the list..and wanna start receiving freebies, feel free to sign up HERE.

P.P.S.S. How could I forget the phone at the top of the post.... a found treasure..... from a local shop... Carol's Time Again Treasures...  'sigh' So much to love....

Thank you so much Kim. The textures are beautiful and you are so generous to share them with an inspiring photographer. I can't wait to apply them to some of my recent Hawaii flower pictures.

A bigger {sigh} than even you can do!! These are so dreamy and beautiful, Kim! Gracious, you are such a wonderful inspiration. Adore all your snags too! So sorry to hear of the terrible flooding near your spot. While we all hate to hear of those kinds of things, it does remind us over and over and over again to put everything in its proper perspective {and not to take anything for granted}. Thank you for the new textures...I'm off to hunt them down now. Xo, Sue

Thanks for the new make this so much fun!!! I had a little treasure hunt of my own this week. My sister and her husband live in a big old house in upstate NY. I went for a visit and said I wanted to find an old cane chair; they happened to have one in their basement :) so that went home with me! Also, my sister was an obsessed "stamper" before moving on to quilting so I came home with a bag of her stampers that I will try to use in photoshop. And finally, my husband found his mom's old manual typewriter in our basement so I hope to get some pics with that too! Hope your weather improves soon!

I hope that the rain will stop soon, I saw on tv how bad it is in Manitoba:(( We are lucky here in St. Catharines, ON, just had a 120 km wind storm last week that did major damages to homes and trees, but nothing like you have with the flooding.

I love all your new little treasures and what you created with them too. This is why I signed up for your course, I'd love to be able to create the images you have. Your artistic talent is an inspiration to me.

Thank you Kim for the freebees, I will have to come up with some nice shots to use them with.

Have a wonderful week dear friend!

Hugs, Irene

These treasures are so beautiful! They surprised me so much because I just went shopping at Winners two weeks ago and bought the exact same white pitcher (it's so beautiful - you're right!). I also bought the tall, skinny blue pitcher that goes with those sweet little blue bowls. Winners is just the best! I love the texture work you did here - so, so lovely! And thank-you so much for the gorgeous new textures. You're such an inspiration! I'm praying for Manitoba every day. xo

Hi Kim - thanks for two more lovely textures! I can't wait to use them, but am having a problem opening the zipped file :(

I have downloaded it 3 times, but each time I try to open/unzip, I get a "The Compressed (zipped) folder is invalid or corrupted." message. Do you know what I might be doing wrong? I don't recall having trouble opening/unzipping any of your other files...

Thanks again - kimB from Alaska
