Day 10 of the 12 Days of Textures

mouse over to see the before

Today's Photoshop Recipe

Layer 1: holiday flash brownie image (used cs5's content aware scale to remove the berry on the right side).

Layer 2: duplicated layer 1 and changed the blend mode to soft light. Applied a gaussian blur filter set to 8.

Layer 3: one layer of today's texture, Providence at multiply 44%.

Layer 4: 'Clipped' a Hue/Saturation Adjustment to the texture, to desaturate it.

Layer 5: Levels adjustment to tweek the shadows.

Layer 6: Added the fabulous quote.

Introducing Providence

As requested a pastel texture. This should be great for florals and still lifes.

Before I go.... Tomorrow I will be announcing a brand new eCourse, that has me completely giddy.....

How 'bout a little teaser?

Kim, First I want to thank you for your kind and giving soul. I so believe in Karma and with your giving nature and love of all things naturally beautiful, I know that you are and will continue to be blessed.
I will be joining you in the new eCourse for sure. I was just thinking of the first class I took with you over a year ago. I don't think anything will replace what I felt the first time I added a texture to a photo and clicked on my first ever blend mode to reveal what the texture had done to my image. Pure magic. I must say that it was (almost) as exciting as a first kiss or first holding of hands with a new young love. lol That was a very long time ago so I'll have to replace that feeling with the excitement of learning all that you have to offer. Again, thank you and I wish you and yours a very blessed Christmas and nothing but good in the new year.
