My Friday Find Story

Oh my it's been such a long week..... so many trips back and forth ..... exhausting.....
something about the hospital... sucks the life right out of you.... Bryce says he 'hates' it..... He finds it so draining..... I agree... it's definitely that. I can't imagine having to go through this for weeks and months on end........ I'm so thankful for the light ahead.

Good news.... John has taken a turn, he is doing so much better. Such a relief.....

Today as I sat with John... the realization that this could be our final hurdle..... things should begin to look up.... hit....and a flood of emotion washed over me....
Oh my.... Could this really be?

I was on my way to the car after my revelation... when the hospital flower shop called to me.... for the first time in months....I had to check it out..... a few step toward hope??.... perhaps.....??

Here's what I found....

textured with waterfront 18 (the waterfront collection) - expected release... this coming week.... I'm so excited.

This precious little bottle....I eyed it first.... then the pom-pom like flowers.... I can't remember what they're called..... Anyone?? (do tell) They are so happy and boppy.... each with a whimsical little sway of their own..... I knew they were IT!

At first the florist found my 'vision' a little strange....(I could tell)
But.... by the time the arrangement was complete....we were both pleased... She sweetly.... My dear... you are magnificent.
How kind!!
'smile'.....  I needed that...

I couldn't wait to get back to the apartment to take a few photos.... The afternoon sun was strong....the shadows.....intense....truly perfect.... A gift... a lift.... exactly what I needed.....

My finds....

A bottle... boppy flowers...... and somewhere along the way......a little piece of myself....

A really good day.......

Thank you for all the love.... &.... 'life is'... comments below our Anniversary post.....
such a gift......

Please feel free to link up your Friday Find(s) below...... I love seeing your images stream in.... Such a gift!

Until next time.... gratitude....forever, and always.....

Oh, I love these flowers! They are called 'craspedia globosa' or just 'drumsticks'. :)) I got a bunch for my birthday in early september and they are still good, they will bring joy for a very long time.
I'm so glad John is doing better. I sincerely hope you can all go back to 'normal' soon...that this draining will stop....or at least ease more and more for all of you.
I'm not a person who asks for much in life... but I have been asking and praying and lighting candles... thinking of John and you and your whole family. I'm so glad there is now a light in sight.
Have a good weekend.
Love from Switzerland, Alexandra

Your story warms my heart...your inner spirit sought out the ritual that brings you such joy, and it found it at the hospital flower shop. I see someone already named them, but I had always heard them called Bully Balls at least that is what we called them when I worked in the florist. I loved them because they last so long and they had such personality. We would use them especially at this time of year in Halloween arrangements.

So so glad to hear that John is better, gosh so glad to hear. Wonderful news.

I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers as always and thank you so much for all your help this week with the links. I am progressing with the new computer.

So happy to hear John is feeling better. Find joy wherever you can, Kim. I saw a beautiful quote - "There is always, always something to be thankful for." It's so true. Remember to give thanks every day. You have your love, he's doing better every day. That, alone, is quite a precious gift.

I have turned over so many words of help and advice and comfort and ... as I read all of your posts over the weeks... and in the end there is nothing to say but ... all there is in this world is faith ... because ... what control do we have except for Him watching over us and doing all things for good? You have blessed so many women (and I suppose men) in your words and actions and life. John ... no doubt from your words is the same kind of person. You are both held, loved and being taken care of. Rest in knowing how much we love you ... all of the people you have touched are on this journey with you. Whether we comment or just pray silently, whether we send gifts or love ... we, because of who you have been to us and for us ... love you ... how magnificent is that? You have blessed so many ... may so many bless you.
So much love sent your way.
