My Friday Finds

I popped into Safeway today while I was in town..... hoping to find something a little different in the floral shop....

I was so happy to discover, a pretty pink bouquet of tea roses....

Time was short this afternoon .....so I snipped just one... placed it in my antique listerine bottle.... and found the light.... the afternoon sun is so beautiful this time of year....

Click..Click...

I used my Nikkor 105 mm macro lens for all the rose photos.... I need to pull it out more often.... I'm pleased with the detailed and texture it captured.......

Of course, Ben was right there ... He loves to rest his head on the window sill while he gazes at Grandma nd Grandpas house across the road......... I quickly switched to my 35mm and snapped a quick pic......

So much to tell you.... but for now.....

Happy Friday...... thank you for sharing your lovely Finds......

Love & Gratitude.... ♡

xo,

p.s. Start to Finish registration will open next week.... Thank you for your patience....

Kim, The single rose is simply beautiful, and I never tire of pictures of Ben (I have dog envy). Thanks for the notes you give on your photographic techniques. I need to bring my macro lens out for some new pictures, too. Can't wait to hear what's new in your life -projects and hopes and emotions. Thank you for sharing and hosting.

I just recently found your site and am really loving your weekly, Tuesday texture and Friday finds, and of course all the information you share so kindly.
Kim your flowers are beautiful, the single little tea rose... also very much love your shot of Ben he is a beautiful pup and I have enjoyed all your pictures of him. I had to laugh because Safeway is my favorite place to pick up flowers to photograph:> In fact I may be heading that way this morning:> Hope your having a wonderful week.

Beautiful rose in the bottle. I need to get some more flowers from the grocery store. I have an old bottle like that. Thanks for the inspiration. Ben, too cute! Sounds like things are busy but good for you!

I, too, found roses in Safeway...a mixed color bouquet...which I bought for photography purposes (I already have a vase of pink Gerberas and a vase of yellow ones!)... And today in the mail, my newest lens...a 50mm macro...arrived. Tomorrow, I'm combining some single roses with glass bottles and see what I can come up with!

Your photos always inspire me, thank you! I have no camera other than my cell photo so reading about the different lenses you use makes me want to delve into photography more deeply. For now, I'm leaning to use apps to add texture, nothing I knew about until I first found your blog. The photo of the hydrangea this week was inspired by you. Again, thank you.
