My Friday Finds

I was strolling through the mall with Bryce, the other night.... and there she was..... I could not pass her by. The loveliest little teapot.....so cheery and bright. I rarely get to the mall...Stokes isn't one of my go-to stops for props...... but this teapot caught my eye.... which lead me to the sweetest tea bowls....2 for $3.00..... Really?? The perfect match to the teapot.... Destiny....
At least that's what I told John..... as I unpacked my latest finds.....

And...I gotta say....I'm loving my Rough Linen ..... (as seen again...in today's photos) ... seriously....it's difficult to put into words.... True love!!

Last week's, Friday Find post has been featured on the Rough Linen community site. Thank you Tricia & Co...such a treat.... I was also thrilled to see our lovely Donna featured there!! Sooo fun.

I've had a lot of emails about Tuesday 'perfectly imperfect' image..... Lots of interest in the Lightroom recipe and magic texture..... I will definitely have some fresh magic texture downloads soon.....

Some News

I'm excited to tell you..... I have a FREE Lightroom workshop coming SOON....

Lightroom has been a game changer. I could not live without it. But, it seems the catalog/library portion can stop people in their Lightroom tracks. This new class will be a quick start guide to Lightroom.... Enough to get you up & running.....and on your way to pretty picture making.

Stay tuned for more info.....very soon.

And Oh my gosh.... so much more to share.... I'm bursting.....soon...... very soon.

Before I sign off.....The winner of a FREE spot in the Start to Finish class is....... Lorena.

I adore LR - I have no clue how to work with PS and have no patience to learn since I know all the ins and outs of LR so well! (I know I could go so much further with PS, but . . .) i took a peek at the linen store - so gorgeous - I really wanted to order both my girls frocks from there! So adorable!

this is the first time I have tried to post on friday finds from the flicker account, hopefully I got it right! I love the beautiful tea cup and red tea pot.

Love today's images. The polka dots on the teapot would have sold me! Gorgeous finds and a great reminder that I need to slow down a bit today and enjoy a cup of tea. Love your font choice for the tea photo - what is that font? The handwritten fonts are my favorites. Congrats on being featured on Rough Linen's site - a place of community and good company! Thank you for hosting and sharing and being a friend.

Man do I still have problems with LR still and the catalog portion,I have an appointment today at the Genies Bar and hope they can talk some sense into me. Had to do my editing last night on my PC instead of my Mac. I don't know how I do it but I can get my files messed up in greased lighting on the Mac in LR. So bring on the free class and hurry up sweetness. I am thick headed and there may be no hope but I am going to give it one more try. Love, your worst student ever. Barbara H.

Dear Kim, Your blog is an inspiration for me, not only because of your lovely pictures and all the things you share with us. But also because you let me look in a different way into the world. I love to take pictures, but now I look different at something when I take a photo. Thanks for that, have a nice weekend. Greetings from Janine ( germany)

First of all I want to say I just LOVE that little tea pot and there is ALWAYS time for tea:>
I would also like to thank you for your Tuesdays post...I really like linen as well... love the look and feel, but at this time I don't have much of it in my house... So as I was thinking about props and Ideas I remembered a gift... it was given to me when I turned 18, I just turned 53. My maternal grandmother gave it to me.
As I opened it, and looked into the neatly folded tissue, there lay 3 doilies....As my grandmother explained to me they were made by 3 different generations.... one was made by her (my grandmother), the next by her mother (my great-grandmother) and the 3rd was made her mother (my great-great-grandmother). Thanks to you they will be brought out and shared with my Friday find..... Thank you for your wonderful ideas and creative energy that you share so generously.

I love a nice teapot. So lovely to "meet you," Kim! This is my first time linking up. :)
I fell in love with teapots a couple years ago when I became a tea-lover...now I plan on collecting them. I think there are so many adorable and really creative ones out there. This one you found is definitely a good one- I love the colors on it. I'm glad I found your blog, so interesting and inspiring! My first time linking up so hope I'm doing it all right. Have a happy weekend. :)
