My Friday Finds

Hello sweet friends. How are you? Happy Friday.....

Todays' finds..... 3 things....

1. This beautiful clay pot from Winners.... Oh my gosh... the texture, the shape... the white-wash..... LOVE it..... love Winners (TJ Max in the U.S.)

2. The greens..... above....from Lady of the Lake... totally fake... totally fab!! .... Amazing how fake can be great these days.... Don't you find?

3. Last....You've seen it in many photos... my anthropologie linen tea towel.... It's a keeper for sure.... always picture perfect.....

I was happy with the fake greens.... but decided to play a little more...so I snipped some herbs from my garden.... (pretty much the only thing I'm growing this year.... sigh)..... mixed them with the fakes....and

Voila.....

A lovely week of finds.....

happy 'sigh'......

If Truth be Told

Last week as I was zipping about checking out your beautiful Friday Finds....I discovered this quote......

people need loving the most when they deserve it the least.

- Louise Hay

only moments before I hung up on a certain loved one..complete exasperation..... (I can't share the details)..... but lets just say.... talk about a message.. I needed.... right then and there....

Thank you Beth... so much.

Fast forward.... a week of ups & downs.... frustration... sadness... worry....

yet another message....crossed my path....more than once....

the gist....

Humans want/need...long-for......desire....unconditional love.....

This is...
LOVE without conditions....
the .....no-matter-what..... kind of love.....

I hear you God... I'm listening... I'm trying..... Please..... LOVE..... through me.....

Lessons....so vital on this journey of life....

Perhaps this message may help you .....in some way..... too.

As always.... I gotta be true.....

All of this....is a part of ME.
I prop shop, take pretty pictures, teach classes, love my family, walk Ben, practice stillness.... make green smoothies.....collect cups, love linens, buy too many books..... crave chocolate... drink diet coke....love my iPhone....and so on...
sprinkled amongst it all....
struggles... sad times... challenges..... fears....
ups, downs...and in betweens...

Life.

That's my .....big picture.....

How 'bout you?

::

Before I sign off.... I haven't updated on John for some time..... and so.... today... a quick note.

He's  a trooper....he's been through so much....and still....a long road ahead.........
He's had some setbacks from the Graft vs Host.... trying yet another drug.... so many drugs...... but he continues to stay strong.... facing each day head on..... His faith never waivers.... He amazes me..

::

Always love to hear from you dear friends.... thank you for being there...on the other side of my truth.... so grateful for this space.....

Love & Gratitude.... ♡

xo,

Kim, I love your new pot and your tea towel. Winners/HomeSense is a great place to find very interesting and cool things. You would never know that your plant was fake... looks fantastic, especially with the herbs! The photos are beautiful with the white and green and the little bit of black on the tea towel. Love your composition in all the photos too! Thank you also for sharing your beautiful words... I can sure relate. We will keep John and you in our prayers here. Have a great weekend!

I admire you that you are willing to admit to all of us that you hung up on someone! we ALL do it...every once in while. we have to - sometimes there is no other option than to explode - I hope things get better for you.

On a brighter note - I keep seeing all these WONDERFUL finds from winners than you say it is TJ MAXX and it all falls into place - LOVE that store - and home goods - but miss them so as we do not have them in Singapore!
I can't believe those greens in the first photo are fake! Your photos are gorgeous, as always...the beautiful tones always take my breath away. And your unwavering faith about life always boosts me up and reminds me to keep on keeping on, even during the tough moments. Thanks for that reminder, Kim. Have a wonderful weekend! Prayers to John as he continues to fight. <3

good morning Kim ... I love your photos and props, and to think that those greens are fake ... one could never tell! And that anthro tea towel is going on my never ending need list! It is so good that you have created a community here that can share ... the good and the not so good. But that is real life. Some days are just hard. As always, i will keep you and John in my prayers. Hope you have a calm and peaceful weekend!

The herbs were a perfect addition! I haven't been to TJMaxx in quite awhile. That's one place I go to look for purses. LOL Must go again. But that pot makes me want to plaster up one of my old pots…..hmmmmm. Sorry you've had a rough week…breathe…..Glad John's mind set and spirit is so strong.

Kim,

Love your work, as always. You pack so much meaning into simplicity.
But more than that, are your personal words about struggling with a wayward loved one. As with so many, that is my life, too.
This week found me in fear and heartbreak. It is a huge help to be with you in your vulnerability.
Lovingly,
Karla

Kim, I stop by for your photos, but keep coming back because you are my friend. Only a faithful and authentic friend can share all of herself and still know that love will abound. My story is your story and your sorrow and pain and frustration are shared by women everywhere. We do our best, and leave the rest. My blog is all pretty pictures and thoughtful words. Sometimes my life matches that picture perfectly and other times the real picture is a big old mess, but the creation of art keeps me sane and keeps me going. Love that quote - and I really needed to hear it!

Thank you so much for your lovely comment at my web journal, it was an honour and a delight to know you had been visiting me :-) And it prompts me to tell you how much I love your beautiful art work - because I do see your photographs as art. Wishing you blessings on your day.
