My Friday find.... Wise Words....

Bryce and I were watching a show on TV the other night.. The character was an alcoholic..... His sister said to him....'nothing changes...if... nothing changes'.....

And Oh my gosh... Isn't that... so true!! I said to myself.. I gotta share that for Friday Finds....Perhaps you've heard it? Perhaps I've heard it too.... in that moment...I really heard it....

Moving forward a few days.... Sweet Janet Murphy posted this fantastic autobiography in the TT comments...... It's just BRILLIANT....New to me.... (I just love new discoveries)..... I asked Janet, if I could share it here... Of course she said... YES... Thank you again Janet....

A beautiful simplicity - nailing it all down - Nothing changes ... If nothing changes! The hydrogeneas are so pretty ... I like flowers in their late stages ~ withering makes things somehow beautiful in an etheric and sensitive way.

You've shared two very lovely insights and words today. Thank you! :-D It's so true about gratitude. Karen Walrond turned me onto the practice of gratitude a couple of years ago, and oh, my! What a difference it makes. Whenever I'd come home from work and grumble or our daughter would grumble about school or friends, my husband's response was always, 'Well, what are you going to do about it? Change it/them or change your attitude?' He was right ... but I wouldn't tell him so for years. :-D

Congratulations Dawn, thank you for reminding me of "The Film", remember seeing it at Oasis in Palm Springs such an inspiration. Thanks you Dawn and Kim for bringing me back to it and renewing my vision.

that autobiography quote is wonderful - as well as your lovely photo and quote. I like the saying that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result each time. I also like Emerson's quote - "Finish each day and be done with it; you have done what you can. Tomorrow is a new day - you will begin it well and serenely."
Have no photo to share today - life too crazy around here lately - but I always enjoy checking to you Kim...

Yesterday I was on a back road in the back seat of my sister's car as we drove our 90 yro mother to the doctors. As usual she was complaining about something in her life. You'd think that at 90 she'd just be happy to have LIFE but alas, no. She is someone who would not understand that if nothing changes - NOTHING changes. She thinks it is some outside force that has kept her unhappy for most of her life.
As we passed by a section of woods that we've passed a hundred times before I happened to glance down this country road. It's not really country at all...just a spot in the woods surrounding housing developments but for a moment I was back in our old 50 Chevy riding through the area when it was really backwoods country. I remembered the joy I always felt seeing the leaves change their colors and I KNEW that today I would return to that spot in the woods and make it my Friday Find. WE have to make the changes in our own life...we are responsible for taking another here 'my' country road as I would have seen it as a child.
Blessings on all who share their Friday Finds. And special blessings on you, Kim, for giving me SOMETHING for 'nothing' that has changed the direction of my life and helped me find another street to walk upon!

Such a beautiful image Kim. I love the new texture set and the share of the sidewalk I have read. I was refreshed when I read it here.
Happy Weekend.

I look forward to your new Textures and the weekend.
