Happy Love Day

Hello my friends...

I just wanted to pop in and share a little 'love' with you all.

How are you?  I hope you are well......

I thought I would share a few pics of Auntie Marg's teacup collection today.  They are pretty and many are pink... both which remind me of Valentine's Day. :)

Oh my goodness she had a beautiful collection of tea cups...  I think she would have loved seeing them here on my site.

Perhaps her only critique would be the chippy tin top I photographed them on.  Auntie Marg wasn't a huge fan of chippy paint and rust.. old and worn...  nopers... But personally I LOVE the contrast.

insert 'smile'....

She never missed a Valentine's Day ... She always had a special gift for the boys. When they were younger she would make perfect heart cookies for school parties or heart shaped cakes. They loved taking them to class.  All the kids loved Auntie Marg.  'sigh'

I was always so grateful she loved to bake.  Wow, she saved me..... so many times...

Thank you Auntie Marg....  (xxo)

On this Valentine's Day... Share the love my friends.....

I do believe it's the simplest gestures that mean the most.....

are you sharing a little valentine's love today... post the link below.  I'd love to visit. :)

xxo,

p.s. today's teacups subtly texturized with one of my 30 in 30 textures....  bursting to share them with you all.

p.s.s. i've been keeping a secret....  'burst'... here's a little hint.

Oh what a LOVELY post! I absolutely love that first shot. I too collect tea cups and you did a fantastic job on your shots. I can wait to see the texture that goes with them. I have learned so much from your site, THANK YOU!
Happy Valentine's Day to you!

Totally gorgeous shots. I agree with the contrast on the chipped table. It takes the photos to an elegant yet chic place that I LOVE. Those aunties are never forgotten. We have Auntie Hilda in our family. She's always picking up crazy little gadgets (most play music) for my boys. Ya know what...that's the stuff they love. Happy Valentine's Everyone.

Beautiful post and photos. I did a post today and used one of your textures on a photo of mine. I'm new to using textures and layers so I'm kind of learning as I go.

My Grandmother had a beautiful tea cup collection. I don't know what happened to them but your beautiful images brought back sweet memories.
Love the light and the sweet colors of these images Kim and I am SO happy you are taking the muse class.

Happy Valentines sweet Kim

My maternal grandmother also had a cup and saucer collection, and I don't know where they are today. Your cup and saucer are beautifully staged on the 'shabby' piece; that kind of contrast is special.

I used on of the textures from Ben's Collection for my Valentine image. (Maybe I should have used a white rose in Ben's honor!)

Kim, your photos are lovely! Perfect for today!!!! I have a teacup collection from my Grandma. When not being used for tea, some of the cups hold beads and sit on my studio table. I get to enjoy them everyday! Speaking of cookies, one of my dear friends just showed me how to do some fancy decorating. Please check out my Valentine's post.

Love these photos, and those teacups! I have my own little collection, although mine are more chunky-style than fancy, but I love seeing your aunt's here, and I love the background you used.

I sent my husband a little valentine over on mrs. mediocrity today about exactly what you said, all the little things:

and of course, I used your textures on the photo!
Happy Valentine's Day to you!
