Lightroom for the iPad

Hello sweet friends,

I'm back today.... bursting with excitement..... This week....Adobe released Lightroom for the iPad.... It's awesome!

I put together a quick little screencast demo. You can check it out below.

To take advantage of the App to Desktop feature, be sure to install the latest 5.4 update.

Note: This app is only available for Creative Cloud or Photography program subscribers.

Here's what adobe says about the new LR App.

Edit
• Edit raw files from DSLR cameras using Smart Previews
• Edit images from your iPad camera roll
• Enhance images using familiar Lightroom tools and presets

Organize
• Import photos from your iPad camera roll
• Quickly Flag and Reject photos

Sync and Share
• Automatically syncs photo edits, metadata, and collection info with Lightroom 5 on your desktop and all your Lightroom-enabled devices
• Easily share photos online via social networks

::

I know not everyone is a CC subscriber and/or has an iPad.... but if you do... check out my screencast below.

p.s. The $9.99/month Photography program offer is availalbe until the end of May. This gives you access to both Lightroom 5, the LR App and Photoshop CC. Pop over HERE for more info.

This is awesome, Kim - thank you for this tutorial! I'm a cloud subscriber/iPad user, and this is one more reason for me to repair my uneasy relationship with Lightroom...lol. :)

There is time for me to do the start to finish on Lightroom and and its not the time right now. I hope you offer it in the future.

I did see this app and it I have the whole Lightroom from Start to finish on my list and with this app its a little more appealing.

Thank you Kim'

Hugs across the Prairies.

Thanks so much for this tutorial Kim! I have a question about importing mobile images into LR mobile. Where does the source file live? Is it in the Photostream on the Cloud? Just wondering. I think as Adobe adds more and more functions to this mobile device it will really be a time saver. Thanks again.

Too bad - $120 a year is still more than I am willing or can afford to pay to RENT software for photo processing. No matter how much I love it, photography is just a hobby for me, so I'll stick with LR and PSE on my computer and use other apps for my iPad and phone.

I'm excited too on where Adobe is taking their software. I have the Photoshop CC subscription, so I got Lightroom when they made it available as part of the subscription. However, I don't know how to use it yet! I downloaded the Lightroom app to my iPad and am anxious to play with it. But first I have to create a Lightroom Collection. Ah, I guess I'm going to be stuck for a while.

Thanks so much for a great tute. I can't wait to see what else you do with mobile photography and would love more tutes like this.

I had downloaded this immediately because we going out of town the next day, watched a few tutes on it and then couldn't find find my camera to iPad cord to play. Agggh! It was caught between the mattress and head board. At least I found it before we checked out.
