Meet Mr. Underwood

How are you?

Happiest Thursday! How's your week going so far?

Have you been visiting Shutter Sisters, each and every day..... to get in on the amazing September Give Away from Paper Coterie?

You really must.....  I mean, seriously... you must! :)

Allow me to introduce you to Mr. Underwood. Isn't he a dream? He's looking quite fab in the 'white room'....

I have been a busy bee... creating loads of class content and good stuff like that.

Oh and getting the i-Studio all geared up to relaunch next week...  Super excited about it!!

Another week is winding down. Camp Shutter Sisters is around the corner... burst... are you going to be there?  Do tell!!

Oh, I haven't mentioned this here...but I've been working hard at getting into shape for several months now. I hate talking about it...cause it's been an ongoing 'event' in my life... Ugh. Anyhow, this week I'm doing a 'plateau breaker'..... where you drink these protein shakes for breakfast and lunch. Oh my gosh...  shoot me now!! (well not really...but you know what I mean)....One more day, and I can have normal food!! 'sigh'... I can do it!! Yes I can....

Well I must run. It's the most beautiful day here...and I have a date on the porch with John and Benny....

Tell me, what's new with you? I'd love to know!

Love and gratitude....

this lovely little desk had been sitting in our garage for years... One day, while I was away, John pulled it out...sanded it down and painted it white. Once it was dry and ready to go, he stood and watched as I took my palm sander to it. He didn't say a word.

After all these years.... (almost 22) He just gets me. :)

Love mr. Underwood!!! BTW the green drinks and fruit and veggie smoothies helped me loose 30 lbs!! I started doing it while back and have continued since getting cancer and going through the chemo - the fruit with greens is my favorite!!!
wish I could attended the Shutter Sisters camp - maybe next year!! can't wait to hear all about it!!!

Oh, funny about the 'distressing' move on the desk! But a gal's gotta do what a gal's gotta do!

I think there's a relative of Mr. Underwood's in the computer/business room at the high school where I taught for 26 years. I learned to type on one of those machines!

Your hubby is a jewel Kim. The desk and old underwood are fabulous too. Summer is winding down but it is still warm here, been busy trying to get more work done on the back yard redo. Thought it would be done this summer but not going to happen. You have more will power than I do, if you can do the shakes.

Hi Kim, I love your story about John painting a desk white for you and then you taking your sander to it! You made me laugh. :-) What's new with me? Have you checked out my blog Home page lately? I was offered a dream of an assignment by a local portrait photographer: to "paint" over his ballerina photograph. I was able to create a "Degas Impressionistic" look to it. Come by and visit.

Such a great photo. Makes me want to get the table out of my garage! LOL!! It needs paint and a sander too!

Love Mr. Underwood - it looks like the typewriter I learned on in junior high school really had to push those keys!
I've been up to a LOT - mainly helping move my mom around to various hospitals and care centers after her hip break. But also when time permits gearing up for my son's wedding! So how is the getting in shape plan going? Have you lost a lot of weight? What type of shakes are you drinking? Would love to hear!

love mr. underwood and that desk!.
i hope today is the day you get to eat again... i hear you though, i am at the point where i have to do something about my weight, almost all of my pants are too tight. it seems to get harder to lose every year, and not being able to run for so many months this year had a bad effect on my behind!

good for you, it sounds like you are really making progress.
