My Life Squared - a Little Instagram Love

I mentioned last Sunday I was loving my iPhone and Instagram...... and I also mentioned I was considering a 365 project. I decided to say YES to the 365. (more on that in a moment).....

I thought it'd be fun to share some of my Instagram photos with you.... from the past few weeks...... and just say I am mad over iphoneography..... As you can see, I have a muse.... Yeppers, Mr. Ben dominates my instagram stream. And Sophie (Ben's 'cousin') makes lots of appearances too. Now and then you may see another family member or just something I love... But Ben is my muse.

'sigh'.... puppy love... he rules my heart.... 'smile'....

Here's the coolest part about iphoneography... the apps!! Oh my goodness, there are all kinds of image processing apps, that you can download, some are free some cost a little... But it's amazing! It literally turns your iPhone into this amazing creative tool. It's like photoshop on your phone. You can create art while waiting in line, sitting on the porch, lying in bed..... wherever you are..... click, click.... pick an app, and play!

If you are not an iPhone user, there are photo apps for Androids....and I also hear Instagram is coming to Androids this spring. :)

It's like journaling your life.... with a click of your iPhone.... Which leads me to the 365. It's so doable with the iPhone... atleast for me.... Why? phone is with me at all times! We are one.... lol.... So it's pretty easy to click a pic or 2 or 3..... easy peasy....

One of my sweet readers shared a 365 app, so I am using it to 'journal' my's awesome. Thank you again, Carla...

Here's the link.... since then I have discovered there are several other amazing 365 apps as well. I simply take my pic, and save it in the 365 app, and it pops the image right into the app calendar. I think it'll be so cool to look back at each month and see a calendar full of photos.... So far I have 7 calendar squares of Ben.

Here's a few more.... most are taken down at the lake and around the empty campground. The dogs LOVE it there... It's like there very own amusement park. 'smile'...

So, my friends, are you into the whole iPhone photography thing? Do you have any favorite apps you'd like to share?

Here's a few of my favs.... instagram (obviously), snapseed, iris, picture show, befunky, picstitch.....

Not on instagram? You can still follow along... Here's a link to my stream.

I will be back this evening with your weekend texture...

I am off to set up the classroom for the Skinny-Mini eCourse. If you are signed up, watch for your classroom invite later today.

Beyond Layers is almost here.....there's still time to get in on the crazy low $52 price... that's a buck a week..... Check it out... I keep receiving emails, Kim, is it possible to get the $52 rate on payday? I'm not great at saying no, so I have decided to leave it open.

Oh and ..... Beyond Layers has a home of its own! So fun! You can check it out here.

Back soon....until then..... here's to a beautiful day.

p.s. my instagram username is kimklassen. :)

Lovely pictures! I love the outdoor snow scenes. Especially the one on the path with tree on both sides and the pooch with the black ears.
I do not own an iPhone-maybe later this year. We do not have much snow left, Unseasonably warm. If it keeps up, I'll be ready for spring!

Love these and love my iPhone apps! I’m still on my first phone so can’t play with all of the new ones yet, but hope to resolve that issue sometime this year! :-)

I am also doing a P365+1 on my iPhone, and specifically on Instagram, too. It's so easy!
I've been using the Photogene2 app for most of my processing.

I posted week one on my blog:

You have such lovely pictures - can't wait to see more.

Adorable images. What cute pups! I am a huge iPhoneography addict.. I have to say, I use Hipstamatic the most to shoot with, and then go from there to many other apps for processing!

I love Snapseed, Photoforge is excellent...its a paid app but I love it and inside photoforge is an app called "Pop camera" and it is $1.99 but I absolutely love actually has different lenses you can try and different film types also different lens filters and different flashes and different textures and frames. I like to experiment with my picture thats why i really love the "Pop camera". I like Instagram too but feel its limited. i also like PhotoStudio and Quick Lomo Pro

Hi All,

I love "my" company provided iPhone! I use Camera+, 100CamerasInOne, SlowShutter and Instagram along with countless others. My username on Instagram is shutterhuff.

My favorite camera app is Procamera and I also have Camera+. I also use Snapseed, Photogene2, Photo FX, Photo Studio, Plxlomator, 100 Cameras, Instagram and a cool app called Plastic Bullet. For turning photos into paintings, try Auto Painter by Mediachance.

Great photos Kim I've been using my iPhone as my main camera for about 2 years now and I love the accessibility in fact most of my Texture Tuesday photos are with my phone.. My favourites other than the ones you have mentioned are Picgrunger, the wonderful Hipstamatic and a new discovery Notifica.

I was looking at my instagram feed while reading this post - if that's not instagram addiction, I don't know what is!!!
I'm enjoying your shots of Ben. I am also using Project 365. I love it so far - it's so simple.
I mostly use Snapseed, but also am having tons of fun with Hipstamatic. Camera+ is also good. I
Over the weekend I got PicFrame and Pic Collage, and have been playing around with them.
Have a great week!

Ive seen it listed up above but I've got to mention it too...HIPSTAMATIC! It is sooo much fun. And after that I've had fun processing with pic grunger and photogene.

Great thread, by the way. I enjoy reading what others are using.

iPhoneography addiction...I'm SOOOOOO with ya, Kim, I've got it real bahd ;>}} I just love how wonderfully freeing it all is. I use the images on my blog a lot, helps me play, lighten up, post more often - all good things! I had to turn on my phone just now to remember the other apps I'm lovin' ya go: FX Photo Studio, Grungetastic, Tonaltopia and Photo Toaster.

Very fun thread. Always good stuff over here!

I am beyond addicted! Just had to share - someone just told me about "pictureshow". It's a 1.99 app, and it looks like so much fun! I have been avoiding this post for fear I would simply never get off of my iphone, but I really wanted to let you all know about this one. (I don't think I saw it mentioned...) Off to check out some of these other recommendations!
PS I love Ben!

Hi Kim! I'm looking forward to starting Beyond Layers with you next week! I love my iPhone too. I don't use Instagram that much because the photos saved are all so low-res. at the moment my favourite app is Magic Hour - the paid version saves high-res images but give the free app a try first. It even has curves and other photo editing tools. Also, thanks for introducing me to The Paper Kites (via Xanthe, of course). I had no idea they were Australian and love their music. They will be performing in Sydney (where I live) on Feb 4th but unfortunately I will be working on that day.
Oh, I also love the Cross-Process app. Check it out!

LOL... Ben is so cute. I love the photo where he's just standing out on the snowy road all by himself. Very cute. And that little Sophie is a sweetie too. Your photos have got me wishing for some snow now. :) xo

I hear ya! I'm in LOVE with Instagram (username: katedaniel) too! Just a note for all those wanting to do the Project 365 - make sure you get the $1 version instead of the free one as there are more capabilities and no ads! :) And I recently did a blog post about photo apps that I love - feel free to check it out!

You are such a square! A lovely square! And your doggie friends ... your atmosphere ... your environment ... scratches, filters and all ... sublime.
Keep sharing!
