My Texture Tuesday Open Submission
mouse over to see the before
I'm just popping in quick to say hi and share my submission for this week's TT 'open' theme.
My tulips are open......... and Yes.... I already shared a photo on Sunday....but, seriously they are just so darn pretty....
I've decided to gift myself with fresh flowers every week until this winter is over.... A little incentive to get me through the season.....I mean, come on..... -43 with the wind chill this morning... a girl deserves some fresh flowers..... Am I right? :)
I am sharing the photoshop recipe and video tutorial over in the Test Kitchen... something a little new and different.
I did use Annabelle from the 12 days of textures....inverted.... on screen blend mode... I really like the effect...
Before I go.....
Things are going STRONG in the Beyond Layers class! Oh my gosh... it's so exciting. :) Seriously...I just can't even tell you the amazing group that has gathered.... It's most definitely BEYOND.
If you signed up...and did not receive the login info....it has been sent out.... please, please send me an email so we can get you hooked up. :)

Greetings from darkness of Finlnad
I've been seeing a lot of tulip photos over the past few days, so I treated myself to a bouquet yesterday. Unfortunately, I am not able to afford to buy flowers very often, so I have will have to make the most of of this one. I decided to buy white tulips, so I can make them any color I want in Photoshop, lol :~)
Off to check in over at Beyond Layers, then take a lunch and laundry folding break :~)
I love what you did with this capture. While the original is quite stunning with a mix of pink and purple tulips, the processed version has such a vintage appeal and I love the effect of the inverted texture.
Visiting you is always so good for the soul, Kim! Thank you!
Oh yes, I agree! We all should get a flower bouquet every week in winter time! In fact, that's my Mom Christmas gift for me :) I was so delighted!
