{Weekend Texture} Shine

Hello lovelies.... How was your weekend?

I am popping in with a new texture and a little recipe.

Today's texture is called 'shine'.... I really love what it's does to today's images.

Here's my photoshop recipe:

• Added a black and white adjustment layer to desaturate the image. 
• Added a red to cream gradient map adjustment layer, at normal blend mode 28% opacity.
• Added 2 layers of shine.... one at 100% soft light and another layer at 42% soft light. 
• Added a levels adjustment to boost the blacks (contrast) just a little.  
• Added the type. (font: vt portable remington)

I just love how the texture brought out the detail in the glass and the silver below.....  'sigh'....

Meet Mr. Underwood

How are you?

Happiest Thursday! How's your week going so far?

Have you been visiting Shutter Sisters, each and every day..... to get in on the amazing September Give Away from Paper Coterie? 

You really must.....  I mean, seriously... you must! :)

Allow me to introduce you to Mr. Underwood. Isn't he a dream? He's looking quite fab in the 'white room'.... 

happy...happy....'sigh'

I have been a busy bee... creating loads of class content and good stuff like that.

Oh and getting the i-Studio all geared up to relaunch next week...  Super excited about it!!

Another week is winding down. Camp Shutter Sisters is around the corner... burst... are you going to be there?  Do tell!!

Oh, I haven't mentioned this here...but I've been working hard at getting into shape for several months now. I hate talking about it...cause it's been an ongoing 'event' in my life... Ugh. Anyhow, this week I'm doing a 'plateau breaker'..... where you drink these protein shakes for breakfast and lunch. Oh my gosh...  shoot me now!! (well not really...but you know what I mean)....One more day, and I can have normal food!! 'sigh'... I can do it!! Yes I can....  

gag.....

Well I must run. It's the most beautiful day here...and I have a date on the porch with John and Benny....

this lovely little desk had been sitting in our garage for years... One day, while I was away, John pulled it out...sanded it down and painted it white. Once it was dry and ready to go, he stood and watched as I took my palm sander to it. He didn't say a word.

After all these years.... (almost 22) He just gets me. :)

I have been scurrying about... working on my 30 textures in 30 days project and getting ready for The Art of Texture class that starts this week. It was just one of those here, there and everywhere kind of days...

But, I will pop in a little later tomorrow, and share a sneak peek of some of the new textures in action.

and i agree with carolyn, this sweet old typewriter

needed a little more time in the spotlight. :)

anyhow, before i start popping around to all the assignments,
