i know i am awfully late....

but i can't be the only last minute person out there...

anyhow, i made my dad's father's day card, out of my image 'the road' from yesterday.

then i decided i could share.... :)

so i made a printable pdf

it's actually a square card, so you may not have an envelope..

but they are pretty easy to make...actually.

friday night

hi all,

friday night bliss... must acknowledge it!

me and andy...  my laptop. 

listen to the quiet...  ADORE... truly!! 

john has my bug. :(  poor guy...

so he is off to bed...early, early....

i love my alone time. 

i mean love. 

there's just something about the quiet of late evening or early morning that is just RIGHT.

so, i'm popping around the land of blog....

visiting my 'friends'... stocking my etsy shop.... slowly.

 i really do want to 'grow' my etsy shop. 

'sigh'

but my big goal is to finalize my 'art of texture' class so i can introduce it here tuesday at the latest. 

soooo excited!!  a real blessing!!

reflection

this sunday morning, brings quiet time for 'reflection'.

john was out on an ambulance call in the wee hours of the morning so he's catching some rest now.

bryce stayed at his brothers.

it's just me and andy.  and he is peacefully snoring on the couch. 
(andy is my beagle)

the sound always brings me comfort.

this morning i ponder what is and what is about to be. 

how even thru difficulty, God shares many blessings.

i am thankful for them all.  i truly am.

this morning, i hold tightly, to

'this too shall pass'

i mean tightly... and i trust....

everything will be okay.

hope you are enjoying some peace and contentment this very moment.

here's to a most blessed week.

color story photo assignment ~ for the love of "red"

you may already know i am part of the c and c photography course.

camilla and carolyn have joined together to share their talents with so many.
i deeply admire their generous hearts and incredible talent.

so when carolyn posted this week's photo assignment, requesting a color study.

i just had to pick red.

i love red... all shades of it....

it's even the color of our old 2 story house gables....

.....

it's my go to color when i paint.

it's the color of my deeply loved brayer.

it comes in many shades... all so lovely.

it's the color of our broom.:)

here's my sweet hubby, working hard.

he worked so hard, he needed to make some lunch.

kind of a sad shade of green on the romaine.... :)

but it's the color of tomatoes... i can not wait til they are garden fresh. 

sigh....

as i mentioned our house gables are red.

it's the color of my favorite berry wreath hanging on the old entrance door.

i use it over and over when i paint.

and i do believe if i closed my eyes... and imagined a color...

even before the vision was clear...the color would be RED.

it's my favorite color in nature.

i adore red willow. "happy sigh"

i ♥ red.
