texture offering ~ 3 for $3
happiest tueday
oh my goodness, i have lots to share today.
i realize i am a little late with my 2 for textures...
and along with being late, i'm changing things up a little as well.
today i am offering 2 hand painted textures and an overlay.
the price is $3.00.
this price will be effective until wednesday evening, around 7 pm central.
check out this cool create overlay
you will see it in action as you scrool down the page.
:)
......
this will be my last tuesday to offer textures at $1.00 each.
i'm not sure of the upcoming details...
stay tuned.
but, my painted texture pricing will be increasing.
so grab 'em up.
:)
anyhow, enough of the jabbering, let me share today's sample images

i have been bursting to share this first sample with you.
sherry was so kind to send me this beautiful boat image to experiment with.
isn't it GORGEOUS?
and honestly, with or without texture it is
truly beyond.
thank you for letting me 'play' with this beautiful image, sherry!
i'm running a little photoshop magic challenge on the stay-cation site.
you can read more about it here.
anyhow i thought i'd share the photoshop recipe.
i used both of today's textures.
here's what i did.
i converted the image to black & white.
i then added a layer of the 'archives' texture at multiply 100%
then i added 2 layers of the 'masked' texture -
one at multiply 100% and one at softlight 56%
i then duplicate the base image and moved it to the top of the stack at soft light 77%.
.....
i thought i would do one more sample for you....
which lead me to designing today's 'create overlay'

i love the feel of this image....
the pretty daisy with the grungy desaturated textures.
'sigh'
......
okey doke....
