friday night

hi all,

friday night bliss... must acknowledge it!

me and andy...  my laptop. 

listen to the quiet...  ADORE... truly!! 

john has my bug. :(  poor guy...

so he is off to bed...early, early....

i love my alone time. 

i mean love. 

there's just something about the quiet of late evening or early morning that is just RIGHT.

so, i'm popping around the land of blog....

visiting my 'friends'... stocking my etsy shop.... slowly.

 i really do want to 'grow' my etsy shop.

but my big goal is to finalize my 'art of texture' class so i can introduce it here tuesday at the latest.

hi there,

oh my goodness... it feels like i am so out of the loop.  it's crazy how quickly the time slips by as you lay there in bed, hoping to feel better.  gosh, i am so thankful for good health. 

irene looks a lot like i feel today... a little dishevelled... lol... but i am bouncing back. slowly.

soo, i wanted to share a little more with you about the artful blogging magazine. 

i am so honored and thrilled to have my blog featured in such an amazing publication. 

i shared in the article about the first time i discovered the magazine and how i said out loud in the store......"one day my blog would be featured in there."   okay so i didn't yell it... i said it in a soft voice... :)

dreams really do come true.... over and over again.  sometimes we just have to let them in.

i hope you don't mind, i wanted to share a few of the pages with you.

andy even made his way into the magazine.... (can you see him and john, down in the bottom right corner?)

that alone is such a gift.  'sigh'

there are just so many amazing souls out there.... 

i love the way 'artful blogging' shares our blogging world in such a beautiful printed publication. 

seriously, there is so much inspiration in every issue. 

sooo i am over the moon... truly!

hello my lovely friends,

how are you?  i'm sorry i've been a little quiet here this week. 

i'm afraid i'm SICK.  gosh it's a pain....

i don't do sick... i don't get sick...  well at least i don't usually get sick. 

but last week bryce had a really rotten virus, and as we laid on the bed watching tv and he hacked away

 i thought to myself... yikes, i better not get this!! 

darn.... 

brett also had the same bug.  john is still holding strong.  i'm really hoping he misses it. 

anyhow, yesterday was my birthday and i spent it in bed feeling very sorry for myself. 

how pathetic is that?

ugh.... lol....

but ENOUGH! i say ENOUGH!!

tomorrow is a new day.  'sigh'

so, everything i had planned for this past week has been bumped to this upcoming week. 

but perhaps my body is trying to tell me something...

like get more rest, take better care... you can't work all the time...

stuff like that...

hmmmmmmm...

so i guess if i want to put this behind me...

i must start taking better care.

so as for up & coming....

i'm so excited to tell you all about my new eCourse... second.gear photoshop ~ the art of textures...

whatchya have planned for the weekend?  anything exciting?

hmmmm, let me see...what's going on around here? 
ummmm, not a lot.  but that's okay.  i like when things are quiet. :)

tomorrow i plan on some time with john and possibly the boys.

and then i'm going to sneak into the studio.  i am putting together a texture collection and i hope to have it available no later than monday. :) 

yay.....

on the above before and after i used 2 textures and a textured overlayfrom the collection. 

once the textures are available i will be sharing a simple video on applying textures to your images. 

and i will also share the steps i have taken to create the transformed images. :)

i'm still painting, not to worry. 

and i do have another speed painting video to share soon.
but i'm guessing you can tell my passion for photography seems to have EXPLODED.  :)

my very first photo shoot...

today was such a fabulous day... a true gift. 

my hair stylist, sarah,  asked me to take some pics of this lovely model. 

she did her hair and makeup...  and put together some fabulous vintage outfits.....then we braved the cold.  it was a BLAST...

i don't have a photography blog space...  i hope you don't mind if i share these here...  it was such a gift to be able to do this.  i loved it!  and i'm dying to do it again... :)
