{Texture Tuesday} The Red eDition

We're back with another Texture Tuesday!

This week we are celebrating RED!

Here are this week's TT challenge details.

• You image must contain red.
• Your image must be processed with at least one layer of any of my textures.

I love old red barns.... So here you have my Red submission.

I processed this image with RadLab. I then added one layer of the latest freebie, 'and then some'.... I have to say....I'm loving this texture. I set the blend mode to multiply and lowered the opacity to about 78%.

{Texture Tuesday} The Gratitude eDition

We're back with another Texture Tuesday!

This week is all about 'Gratitude'!

Here are the TT challenge details for this linky party.

• You image must be based on the theme 'gratitude'.
• Your image must contain  two different Kim Klassen textures. 

I decided to add a little gratitude to my cup, using my dymo labeler.... and one of my hand-made tea tags.

Today I am truly thankful for the 'little things'...such as my dymo labeler....tea tags.... cozy clothes, simple cups, and fabulous folks like each of you!

I textured my image with both 'word' and last week's freebie, 'fall-in'.

{Texture Tuesday} The Love eDition

Welcome to another round of Texture Tuesday!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

This week's theme is LOVE. 

My image is textured.....ever so softly with 'fall'in'.  

The Photoshop Recipe

Tweeked the white balance and exposure in ACR.

Added a levels adjustment to lighten the image a little more.

Added one layer of fall-in at screen blend mode. I dropped the opacity down to 27%. If you look closely you can see some subtle textured detail around the edges. Basically I used the texture to create the dreamy effect I was going for.

Lesson: now and then soft & subtle is okay too.

This may be a repeat theme, I'm really not sure.... But definitely worth repeating. :) I think!

{Texture Tuesday} Another Free & Easy eDition

We're back with another Texture Tuesday!

This week... we're talking 'free & easy'! Anything goes....

This week's TT challenge is as follows: 

• As always, your image must contain one layer of any of my textures. That's it!

....

Allow me to introduce to you, my sweet and completely precious teapot...

Isnt's she dreamy? She came with 2 sweet little matching mugs.... I adore the dimples.... and the wire handle....truly.. just dreamy.

I have the photoshop recipe to share.

• Layer 1 - Background Image
• Layer 2 - I converted the image to black and white, using RadLab..... (gotta love the radLab)
• Layer 3 - I added one layer of this week's 'UggLove' at soft light 28% opacity. Added a layer mask and removed the texture from the teapot.
• Layer 4 - Photo filter adjustment layer (sepia) at 100% opacity. 
• Layer 5 - Duplicate of Layer 4
• Layer 6 - Added the text 'tea is a cup of life' in black multiply 100%.
• Layer 7 - Added a layer of last week's bonus, 'Thursday'...Oh my gosh I love it! At soft light 100% opacity. Added a layer mask and removed the texture from the teapot.

If you read my Sunday post I mentioned a little tutorial. I'm afraid I ran out of time today/tonight... I had to take Brett to the Walk-In. He cut his hand at work.... anyhow, 4 stitches later...all is well... But it threw Mama's schedule for a loop! Ummm, when do they become independent? Or is that a myth? 

'smile'.....

I will post a tutorial later this week!! I promise! Stay Tune....

The story behind the Ugg Love texture name .... is.... pretty simple actually.

Nope I didn't use the soles to make the texture.

But I did buy a new pair of Uggs yesterday....and while I was making the UggLove texture, Bryce's girlfriend and I talked for at least 20 minutes about our love of Uggs. Bryce could not believe we could talk that long about a pair of 'Ugg' ly boots.

{Texture Tuesday} The 'Do' eDition & a Give Away

We're back with another Texture Tuesday!

This week... we're talking action! We're talking 'do'! 

But, did you hear? I added a little and/or to the 'DO' theme...

I thought the whole Do challenge was a fabulous idea last week....and I had all kinds of possiblities in my head....then the craziest week ever went down....and my ideas went right on down the drain with the week.... 

So in order to save my butt... I added the and/or part....

Allow me to sum it up again....

This week's TT theme is as follows: 

• As always, your image must contain one layer of any of my textures.
• Your image may contain one layer of Autumn Burst and/or center around the verb DO. 

And because today was even crazier than the last week.... I had to dig an image from the archives.....

I added 2 layers of Autumn Burst at soft light 100% and one layer at multiply 22%. Then I added some wise words.... please note the word 'do'... 

'sigh'.....

Anyhow, the very wise words in my image, are from a favorite manifesto!
I've admired this poster forever....  I think I shared it here before.......

{TextureTuesday} The Cracker Jack eDition

We're back with another Texture Tuesday!

This week... we're using last week's 'Cracker Jack' texture.

I thought I would share my little Brownie that John picked up a few weeks ago.....  Isn't it a sweet thing? 

I processed the photo using RadLab. I then added one layer of 'cracker jack' at soft light 100% opacity. I also added 2 layers of a soon to-be-released texture I call, The New GreyDay at soft light 100% opacity.

I'm over at Shutter Sisters today, sharing my RadLab crazy-love with a video review, and walking you through this photo's pre-texture processing.

{Texture Tuesday} The Orange eDition

We're back with another Texture Tuesday! This week... it's all about orange.

I had some great ideas in my mind...and then today I went pretty much blank. Thankfully, I remembered my sweet little orange cup from Winners.....

Today's image was processed with Totally Rad's new plugin, Rad Lab. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it is!! Seriously!! UNBELIEVABLE... I'd even venture to say... Life Changing!!

I will share more on Rad Lab soon... I promise.

I don't have a detailed recipe for my orange image. 

I did run Rad Lab several times on it and I used a FAB TEXTURE as well.

I call the texture 'Serious Magic'. 

For today's photo I used 2 layers, at screen blend mode 100% opacity.

(if you are new to the magic textures, they work wonderfully on screen blend mode.)
