Defending Auto-Pilot - I Thank You

Thank you so much for the the beautiful notes and loving comments after Saturday's post.... It's difficult to express how much.... your words mean to me.

From the bottom of my heart... I thank you. I love how you take the time to share....I value your thoughts so much......

On Saturday I mentioned that I was coming out of 'auto-pilot' .... back into the moment... It was time....

Many of you commented that auto-pilot is often a form of survival.... that I shouldn't be too hard on myself.... and some said it's what pulls them through difficult times....

And ya know... I hadn't really truly thought of it that way... Until I read your comments.

You are so right..... thinking back....
I'm sure the first several weeks of this cancer journey was just that.....if it weren't for auto...we would have curled up and watched the world crash down around us.....and when they delivered another blow.... Auto-pilot kicked in as needed........ again....then again... along the way.

So I thank you.... for making me pause.... think.... and give true gratitude for the amazing gift of 'survival'....

Don't you just love when the light comes on?

Tell me... have you had any light bulb moments of your own lately? I'd love to hear.....

You all have been such a blessing...
True inspiration.... to show up.... share... and create......
Please know I am forever and always grateful you are still with me....

With much love.... xo,

John is responding well to treatment... His heart is doing well. The blood pressure/fluid mystert may be solved.... if all continues he will be back here at The Port soon...... Phew....

Let's get this TT started....

Oh wait... before I really do say of my favourite quotes....

I love the simplicity of this image. I did not get a chance to read your post on Saturday as I had a very busy weekend. However, just the words you wrote about it and the spirit of gentleness, caring and generosity that live in your blog inspire me so much more than mother teresa.

Everything you do is beautiful, Kim. The way you share transparently, create textures, and even grow during the midst of trial. I'm so very glad to hear that you and your hub are reaching a turning point and we get to celebrate with you on your returning home.

What a lovely, dreamy photo...Kim, I'm so glad to hear that John is doing better. I'm sending prayers that he continues to improve and you'll be home soon, taking your daily walks with Ben. <3

I have light bulb moments a lot...the older I get, it seems the more life epiphanies I have! There are so many lessons to learn. Thank you for the brush tutorial - I look forward to watching because I seem to always forget how to use/download brushes. I'm sending you good thoughts from Virginia! xo :)

Kim, I just Love Love Love that image at the start of your post. The blur is Wonderful! and the light, makes the whole thing look like heaven!
So glad to hear that John is doing better. I can't imagine how you are feeling, it has been a long time to be away from the comforts of home. Hang in there, you're a survivor and I admire you...

I really love the softness of these textures along with your beautiful photo results. I really appreciate your kindness in sharing your innate design talent so freely.

I also want to say that I was uplifted by the many words of blessing to you, your husband, and family. Auto-pilot is a strong coping mechanism that I can attest to. My eldest daughter passed November 9, and I still cannot wrap my mind around that fact. I know that faith has helped me, but it is heartbreaking to lose your adult first born. So Kim, please don't beat yourself up. You have continued to share your gift with so many in spite of the trials and tribulations your family is going through. I am still praying for you and yours. ;)
