Texture Tuesday - and a Little Photoshop Recipe Sharing

mouse over to see the before image

Hello my friends!  Can you believe it's Tuesday again? My oh my... the weeks just zip on by!!

I'm so loving Texture Tuesday. You all are amazing!!  Thank you.  I do believe there's a texture love movement taking place. :)

'happy sigh'

I have been gathering feedback...and it seems the majority love the idea of TT challenges. :) So we will go for a challenge next week....  But for this week....  please feel free to link to any image you have processed with at least one of my textures....

Just a side note: People love to know which texture(s) you feel free to share that in your post. :)

Not sure how to link up, please read the Texture Tuesday page for a further info.

Okie doke...I will share next week's challenge in just a moment.

But first, I have a quick and easy recipe for you.  Be sure to mouse over to see the before image.

Here's how I processed today's teacup photo.

Layer 1 - Background

Layer 2 - Silence texture at soft light 100% opacity

Layer 3 - SweetTreat texture at soft light 100% opacity

Layer 4 - Levels adjustment - simply bumped up the blacks and the mid tones to add a little contrast after adding two layers of texture in soft light mode.

Layer 5 - my watermark

Here's the layers panel screen shot.

  Really quick and easy.

And now for next week's challenge. Drum roll please....

I challenge you to use both the SweetTreat and Silence textures on your image. :)  Whatchya think?

In case you missed them, Click HERE to download SweeTreat and HERE to download Silence.

Alright my friends... I believe, that's a wrap.  I look forward to all of your fabulous link ups!!

Just to clarify....this week we are linking to any photo processed with at least one of my week we will use the textures above.

Let's get this party started!

p.s. registration for the free Skinny-Mini eCourse is open.  You can get the details HERE.

Dear Kim,
Thank you for the recipe and for hosting the many links to beautiful photographs and textures.

Since taking your class, you have opened up a brand new box of crayons for my photography. As an artist I have always loved adding texture to my paintings. Now I can do the same thing with my photos.

Another friend of mine who has purchased your recipe book feels the same way. Now I am lost in creating my own textures and combining your beautiful ones and my own.

Hi Kim, I am a subscriber of your free texture and I always got your free texture sent to my email. I do appreciate it so much but I have not done anything texturizing my photo is because I don't have a photoshop software. Is this only for photoshop software?
