{Texture Tuesday} Confessions

before & after .... textured with waterfront 10.... from the soon to release waterfront collection....i promise it's coming soon.

Dear friends,

Welcome to another Free & Easy Texture Tuesday. Thanks for stopping by....and sharing your beautiful textured art!

I've decided to continue the Free & Easy TT theme for a while longer...... Keeping it simple these days.

I'm so grateful you all continue to pop by and link up your beautiful textured photos...... THANK YOU.

This past few days, I've been feeling a little less-than..... I'm overwhelmed... discouraged......tired... I'm frustrated...  homesick.... sad..... and to be honest.... less than pleasant to be with.

I'm so disappointed with what I manage to accomplish in a day....yet I never stop. I am seriously going...going.... all day long. Yet at the end of the day... I've barely touched my 'to-do' list.

I can't 'fix' this.... I can't change things...... it is...what it is.....

Anyhow... I found this verse.... this evening.... it spoke to me..... I paused....long enough to soak it up.... deep breaths....

I thought perhaps it may touch you... too.

Here's to a beautiful week....

with gratitude.....

sometimes we just have to stop. That's all. just stop. Do you remember when you could flood your car If it didn't start and you kept trying to start it? I think it had something to do with putting too much gas into the engine which would make it flood. Sometimes I think we get flooded with too much and we need to just stop before we can get up and try again. No agenda, no "just let me get this one thing done", no, have I stopped long enough so I can get going again....Just a day or two of stopping. You're flooded with everything.

Even if you don't feel as though you are making any progress at all, this too is part of the process of life. The ebb and flow.

Keep putting one foot in front of the other, and before you know it, things will change. Just know that you are a huge inspiration for us all here, Kim. Hang in there, okay?

So sorry you are feeling down Kim.....

Just remember - you are ALLOWED to feel... overwhelmed... discouraged......tired... frustrated... homesick.... sad..... and... less than pleasant to be with. If you didn't have these feelings, then you should be worried. Allow yourself to just let go.... you will get behind but you'll have the rest of your life to catch up. Just concentrate on getting John well.

Thinking of you.....

Your quote is so perfect Kim...when one is used to quiet and routine, any kind of change can be overwhelming. Many times we tend to occupy our time to mask over the things we have no control. SImply stopping and slowing down, no agenda, no to-do list...."there are times we stop, we sit still, we listen, and breezes from a whole other world being to whisper" ~ George Elliot xo Thoughts and prayers.

It's a beautiful quote, Kim. I'm glad it spoke to you. I have a slip of paper tapped to my desk, "It is what it is... but it will become what you make it." And I know, Kim, that you have the ability to make it beautiful. Praying for you and your husband.

Be strong...! We never know what is behind the corner... and frankly, let us hope it is something better so keep walking, step by step. You are in my thoughts,

What a beautiful image. I love the lesson in that quote.

I read this morning Sept 17 passage in Jesus Calling and it made me think of you this morning. The first sentence says You will not find my peace by engaging in excessive planning: attempting to control what will happen to you in the future.

I think this is what we do, I know I do this all the time instead of leaving it in God's hands or whoever you believe in we try to handle it all ourselves. Or we try and think ahead. It goes on to say God did not create our mind to do this. It causes greater confusion. I really had never thought of it that way before. I know it is hard as women to try not to handle things with people we love, because we are natural fixers, but sometimes we really have to trust and let go.

My love to you, peace in your heart.

We're all here praying for you, Kim...

I love the quote you posted - so beautiful; as is your image.

To do lists are always endless - I've learned to not measure my worth/success/ability by the number of check-offs on that list.

You and your family are often in my thoughts.

Take care

Inspired no doubt by the scripture, "Be Still and know that I am God"...I also read Jesus calling this morning as the other commenter above. Oh my, think of how many people read that every morning and hopefully how many people read the scriptures every morning! Gosh that gives a person something to help still their minds doesn't it? He is speaking to so many of us, all of us! Sending up another prayer for you and your husband.

That is a great quote. We all have need to stop and be still from time to time, and you sure have good reason to feel that way. Here's hoping the sun shine's for you again soon.

That is a wonderful quote. Your photos and textures are so inspiring. May your life smooth out and your mind become uncluttered soon.

Kim, keep in mind that you're doing the best that you can every day. The lists will be there, waiting patiently. Be patient with YOURSELF, be kind to yourself, give yourself some slack. Your family is going through a lot and you don't have to be Superwoman. Just getting through the day can be your achievement on the hard days. Better days are ahead.

Hang in,

Stop before you drop...that's my quote for you...I love the one you posted, I'm going to save it. Last year when I had the headaches so bad I could barely move and almost didn't make Christmas...I felt like you do now...but you know what, actually you do know, I'll just remind you. I had to stop...I just couldn't do another thing...Guess what....Christmas came and went and the world did not fall apart because I didn't bake a million cookies or wrap a thousand's o.k. to stop...I've also learned that lists NEVER get finished, ever...they are just to be a reminder, not a certificate of a day well lived. O.K. that's my lecture for today...please, Kim, just breathe, close your eyes, and imagine all the good that will be there when this part of your journey is done..we all understand and are pulling for you, John and your family...even Bennie...He'll give you a hundred, thousand kisses when you are back together...Rest my friend, tomorrow is another day...
P.s I think you'r doing terrific...I'd be under the covers...xoxo

I feel what you are saying --- I feel for you -- Oh Kim, it's hard -- so hard!!! I know somehow I know you pray and in your heart daily as well... God be with you to lift you up and all you are in need of to carry-on!. Your photo image is lovely...

PSS....daily for my self -- where can I find peace -- on my knees -- in prayer to Heavenly Father..

Kim, All that is hard...IS hard. By Living -in-the-moment truly can release you to say, " I am taking a big break off" and believe me, read the other more gentile remarks, we all understand. We will be here, you will be there...we will meet again for a lesson, in time, but we will be here. Take a break, you may not refresh so much yourself, but others may, knowing you don't have a responsibility on your plate that is just one scoop too much. I had a similar situation. But having gone thru it "responsibly," in a few years later, I now know that I should have taken time off. I am totally sure everyone at work would have done ok and seen the truth. After all they too, knew i was highly responsible. You are the best most giving and inspiring person to us all. Please be an example again, by taking care of yourself as family. I honestly don't want to be what forces you from that. I say this with love. Take pictures, scribble ideas now, but also do it away from that heavy plate that is taking you away from the PRESENT. Love you, and my prayers.

I believe that we do know what we need when we slow down and take the time to listen. You know. I know. We find quotes that express our knowledge. What we need also is to heed our inner knowing. Our bodies, minds and spirits have ways to bring our attention back to that knowledge when we fail to heed it. We all support you in what you need to do. No one is judging you harshly for not accomplishing your list. Do what really matters and let the rest go...When you look back on this time, you will only recall what really mattered...Much love to you and John and your family and many prayers for healing...

Dear Kim;
I only 'follow you' for a short while and I have realised that you have plenty of sorrow at your hands - it's no wonder you're exhausted most of the time - sorrow and worry eats your strength and it's not always easy to 're-tank your sources'.
Although I haven't even got a paid job, I'm tired - just by the pain of my beloved ones, their worries, and my not totally stress-free life - so you have every right to slow down to a standstil.
Please do take your time - follow your body's signals, try to find serenity, peace, quiet (of the good kind, with soothing music, a beautiful read, mug of tea, a phone call which does you good)
Sending you good thoughts & a prayer
