{Texture Tuesday} Dreaming of Home.....

a favourite back-home photo from the archives.....textured with kk_1612

Dear friends,

Welcome to another Free & Easy Texture Tuesday. Thanks for stopping by....and sharing your beautiful textured art!

The ongoing theme - Free & Easy ...... keeping it simple.

I'm so grateful you all continue to pop by and link up your beautiful textured photos...... THANK YOU.

Your art is extraordinary.... I want you to know I may not comment on every link up...but I try and pop by and peek at as many as I can. Wonderful work....

an old ladder on the front porch wall....all frostied up.....

One of my absolute favorite things about our house is the front porch..... In the summer, John and I can sit on the swing for hours..... Ben on the step watching the world go by..... nothing nicer than a quiet swing and a little chat about the day..... My oh my..... I missed that this summer....

In some ways, today's frosty photos feel like yesterday ....in other ways... a life time ago......Strange how that works....I'm sure you know how it goes.... Time is funny that way.

::

Today (Monday) was a challenging day. John was taken to the hospital via Ambulance.... He's been re-admitted to the Leukemia ward.... They are hoping to get to the bottom of a wonky blood pressure/dehydration issue that's caused several fainting spells.......Today's was extreme....beyond fainting. It's scary stuff to witness. I am so thankful Bryce was here with us to help catch him while he was falling... My oh my.....

We are trusting these issues will soon be resolved....
thankful for the doctors, nurses and support staff on the Leukemia ward...all way above and beyond......

And so...Onward and Upward..... Yes please...and thank you very much.... :)

As always....Your prayers are truly appreciated.....

I must go....perhaps I will pop in a little later with some freebie textures.... If not...soon.

In the meantime...be sure to pop over to pinterest and grab the PinIt only freebies.....

Until another day..... love...blessings...and endless gratitude.....

Let's get this TT started....

xo,

Again, I can't imagine experiencing what you and John (and your sons) are going through. I don't believe I have the kind of strength that is required. Your post title, "Dreaming of Home," touched me today because it reminds me of my mother. She's 93...she has been a widow for 33 years...and 3 months ago, she broke both bones below her left knee. Since then, she's been in a foster care home in the town where I live---25 miles from her own home. Now that she can use a walker, she simply wants to go home. However, she has a form of dementia (absolutely no short-term memory) and she cannot live alone, let alone care for herself, any longer. She has 5 children...only two of us believe that Mother should be allowed to go home. 100% on a pacemaker for two years, she will not have the battery replaced, which means she will most likely not live much longer. I want her to be able to go home. I want you and John to be able to go home, too.

Dear Kim.
Thinking of you and John, the boys, Ben so many times. With compassion, with admiration. How you cope with this. I can't imagine how you do it. How you keep on sending textures and stuff. Astonishing.
Hope everything will be alright soon. Sending good vibes and thoughts across the ocean.

Though miles apart my heart is with you and yours...With so many prayer warriors behind him I believe that this time his stay in the hospital may finally prove the answer to those prayers...this may be 'the corner' he has to turn before he's able to return to normal life with you and the boys. You don't have to be reminded that you are blessed and loved and offered up in so many different ways around the world. Warm hugs for your family this Holiday Season...we're all rooting for a quick fix so you can return to home and be a family together once again. Seeing Ben again should also prove good medicine for you...there's nothing like a big dog loving you with all his heart to make one feel loved and blessed. ~Carolyn, a Jersey Girl

Oh Kim that is scary, I didn't get to the Texture Tuesday this week. The holidays are getting away from me. I sure hope the doctors get to the problem with John and this can be resolved once and for all. That would be the best Christmas present. I am praying for that.

Oh Kim - I am so sorry this whole process is taking so long. You all have had so many ups and downs. My heart and prayers go out to all of you. I sure hope they can get John's situation resolved very soon, and he will then begin healing and getting well and stronger very soon. Please know that all of us who read your blog care about you and are saying prayers for this whole thing to be over and you all to be back home very soon. We all care very much about all of you.

These are difficult times for you all, for sure. I hope you get some peace by knowing how many thoughts and prayers go out to you every day. I may have mentioned this before, but I'm so glad you have such a great talent to provide some therapy for you :)

God bless!

These captures of your front porch are beyond beautiful. You are so talented and make the most common scene extraordinary. The pop of color against the white backdrop is so lovely and makes me want to spend the entire day there. I'm so sorry to hear your hubby had to go back to the hospital. I can't imagine how difficult this has been for you. But I can pray and send positive thoughts to you and your family. This is the season for miracles and I sincerely hope one is granted for you and yours this year.

I'm so sorry John had that bad turn yesterday, Kim. But so glad Bryce is there with you. I think you need him. I know I always need somebody to be with me in a crisis although I know it's hard for both of you, but I'm sure you help one another. And, John ... where does he get his strength? Some of it from the love he feels when you and Bryce are with him. Some of it from a deeper place. All the while I was decorating my home for the holidays, I thought about you, Kim. About how much you wanted to be home, preparing your home for the holidays. I remembered your story about your {beautiful} Charlie Brown Christmas tree last year. All I can offer is my love and prayers ... and pray for you I do, each and every day.

xoxo

Kim, I can only imagine what you, John and the boys go through day to day. It must be horrifying to see a loved one suffer, and get back up over and over and over again. John's will is truly inspiring and I think of you all often. Sending you love and good thoughts through the universe....every day.

P.S. that first shot is canvas or Christmas card material...seriously.xo

Dear Kim, I miss your porch also…I loved the photo's that you posted from there…I remember one of your typewriter on a little table there and of course, the swing with the red throw…It's all waiting for you when John is finally done fighting the germs that think they might win…but they won't…they don't yet understand how strong John really is, that he will fight them day after day until he walks home and through his own front door…You are so strong also…you give me such strength and encouragement…and Hope…Keep trekking Girlfriend. One foot in front of the other, one day at a time and perhaps on some days, one minute at a time…but you'll get there and win this race…prayers for all of you (including Bennie) every morning and night…thanks for all you do and for taking the time even to "show Up…xoxo
