The Latest on John

John was doing quite well.... Saturday he was given an overnight pass.... He was so happy to be back here at the apartment.....much more relaxing.... But, I'm afraid he had a GI (gastro-intestinal) setback early Sunday morning... So for now....he's back in the hospital on hydration.... til they figure out what's up.........

So frustrating.....

I know we are getting closer to the 'end'...... But, some's really hard to see the light in front of us....

Deep breaths......One day at a time.

Let's get this TT started.....

with gratitude.....always....

Oh dear..... I almost forgot.... The Give Away....

Nothing like a little give away to lift the spirits.....  I'd love to send a copy of this beautiful cookbook, What Katie Ate..... (so full of inspiration and delicious goodness) to one lucky commenter..... To enter, simply say hello in the comments below. I will announce the winner on Friday....

I am always happy to say Hello to you, no matter what. Your textures are lovely as well as your image. It looks as if it could just jump off the computer like it was 3 D. I am sorry about the set back, You are so right it must be so heart braking to see this happen. I just want to come and punch this crazy Cancer in the face. Continued prayers for you and John.

I have had a set back with my Mac. a foul up in my file set up lost a file of my photos when I was visiting my son and grands in Oregon which I am upset about. Live and Learn as they say. But still upsetting. I have been going to the Apple store for help but have been finding pluses and minus with their help, that is where my trouble began so going slow and slowly thinking about all and what I am doing.

I need to get the drives set up correctly before I can go any further so that is where I am at this point. I used all of my 3 times this week with Apple so have to wail until next week for help. Didn't know I had a limit. :)

I will figure this out and it will make me a more knowledgeable person, I just know it. I will grow from all of this. :) Take care, looking forward to some fun play with the new textures and to buying your new Waterfront textures. Hugs and Prayers Have a good week Kim

I'm delighted for you that John is nearing the end of his treatment (despite this recent step back)! Love that you have been able to continue to create your art throughout this painful interlude in your life- good therapy, I'm sure. Ahhh to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel- what a blessing! Hugs!
October 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMelinda
The perspective of this shot is so beautiful. I love it. I don't love that your hubby has had a set back. Keeping optimistic about the light at the end of the tunnel is a wonderful attitude to have during this dark time.

It must have been so nice for John to have a short stay at home - and for you as well! I hope his recovery continues! Thank you for all the amazing textures - my favourite at the moment is Mixex - I'm so fond of the tiny round circles and the spots with newspaper-like text ... together with the coffee-like Shades!

I, too know what those setbacks are like. Keeping hydrated is a major problem for me since my cancer surgery two years ago. There are days when it feels more like 3 steps backward and one step forward but I know in the long run I know I am moving forward through it all.

Blessings to you and John and my prayers are with you both that soon you will be home together.

I am excited about the waterfront series.
October 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLois
Kim, it's so good to hear from you again and I'm happy that you and John are getting closer to the 'end'. It's tough I'm sure but you're such an inspiration on how you two pull through. Wish you all the best.
October 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterCarolin
My prayers continue to be with you and John and your family!
Even in the darkest hours, even when we cannot feel his presence. Even when we feel lost, hopeless, overwhelmed, like we cannot take one more step. . .our mighty, faithful God is with us.
May you FEEL his arms around you today!

"There is no one like the God of Israel. He rides across the heavens to help you, across the skies in majestic splendor.
The eternal God is your refuge, and his everlasting arms are under you." Deuteronomy 33:26-27

Blessings, Beth
