{Texture Tuesday} The Garden Party eDition

Hello my sweet texture lovin' friends!

How are you?  I would love to report the sun is shining here... But sadly it's another downpour. 'sigh'  Man oh man...it's raining!

Ben has his head on my lap... looking up at me... 'mommy, when can we go for our bike ride?' Rain or shine we go.... so after I finish up this post...schedule it for midnight we are off to get drenched! Ugh.....

{note to self..... kim, stop your whining......Yeesh....you have not one thing to complain about }

Let's get this party started!

Okay so, this week's TT theme is gardening..... and I my images might appear to be more 'front porch' themed....  But the main focus of each photo is the herbs we picked up at the nursery or a few of the plants we potted. :) I say 'we' as in John... :)

I have a few versions to share.  I used this past weekend's texture 'stained linen'........ on the above.... and this one below....

Then I thought I'd test a black and white eDition... love it with a touch of sepia.

And just one more.....  a broader view of the porch.... in true colors without texture.

I will have to share a little front porch tour soon.  It's definitely a wonderful place to just 'BE'......

.....

Okay so, I'm so in awe of the amazing TT participation!  Wowzer!! Absolutely INSPIRED. Thank you!

You all deserve a crack at a little give away!!  Don't you think?

So this week..... I have 2 3 chances for you to win!

Give Away #1 - a FREE SPOT in my Essentials eCourse that starts on June 21st!

Give Away #2 - a Free 4 month subscription to the Test Kitchen.

Give Away #3 - a chance to win the entire fine art Studio Collection Texture set.

To Enter, simply link up your Garden Themed Texture Tuesday image.

To qualify, you must include a mention of Texture Tuesday in your posting and a link back to the Café.

The winner will be announced on Sunday, June 5th.

And how about next week?  We need a theme!

Next week, let's get a little creative... and add some 'words'.....

What do I mean?  Well, any words will do....(preferably happy and uplifting)....

You can add some text to your image, like I did in the today's top photo....or share a photo with words already in it. And of course it must contain at least one layer of any of my textures.  :)

I think that covers it...... Can't wait to see what you share...... I haven't been able to visit every link...but I love looking at all the pretty thumbnails!  Bravo, my friends.... Bravo!!

If you are brand new to Texture Tuesday, you can find all the details HERE.  Be sure to grab the TT button and invite others to join the party!!

Thanks again, sweet peeps....... Good luck with the Give Away! Let's get this Garden Party started!

Signing off.... xxo,

p.s. for those who have been waiting..... registration will open for the Skinny-Mini eCourse later this week!  The next round will run in July!

(just a note: You do not need to have taken the Skinny-Mini eCourse to register for the full Essentials Class. We will start from the very beginning).....

Oh your pictures look wonderful Kim! I should try to do something sepia. I never really think of that. By the way, it's been raining here a whole lot too, so I feel your pain.

Thanks again Kim for your texture, I have also chosen to use stained linen on my image this week. I love your porch and the wonderful old-style rocking chairs, your photos are great, I particularly love the B and W and the sepia. They both marry so well with your lovely chairs.I have linked and mentioned your textures on my blog. Thank you.

I love your porch and those rocking chairs. I have always wanted the big porch but it is not so usual here in Finland, it is a american way or Canadian way:) If I ever build the house there must be porch, that's for sure. Now we line in row house with little yard.

Kim I love the stained linen texture on your first photo. So pretty! Your porch looks like a delightful place to just be.

How exciting that you are giving away more wonderful freebies! I am thrilled with the Test Kitchen and have just scratched the surface of all that there is to learn. Perhaps lightning will strike twice and my number will come up again! Your first give away is a biggie!

Hope you have a happy Tuesday. Happy to report that we have a dry, sunny day here on the east coast. Sending sunny thoughts your way.

Peace!

I didn't have a chance to participate this week Kim, but will enjoy seeing everyone else's work. Somehow I lost all of my actions and textures in the folder that I had them in on my computer and am needing to rebuild it this week....accck!

Kim - I love your textures so so much. Although my photo today doesn't fit your theme at all, I still wanted to join. I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend.

Ciao Kim, happy Tuesday!
What a nice porch you have! The last shot, in particular, is awesome!
Wow, already many gorgeous entries. Alas, Flickr has been a real pain in the neck for us... again! We could not upload our image for today's TT. Snif! Too bad... but best of luck to everyone else for your generous giveaway! :)
*hugs* and hope to be able to play along next week.

So wish I had a porch. The house I grew up in had one and I always loved sitting out there in the summer with a good book. Your photos are fabulous as always, here's hoping the sun has made its way to you. xo

I second your "ugh" sentiments for those times when the sun stays hidden for too long! But despite the lack of good light, your photos are once again, dreamily wonderful! A front porch, rocking chairs, galvanized tin, and flowering plants are all the right ingredients not only for great photos, but for some serious relaxing! Xo

This is my first time posting in texture tuesday and am wondering about the contest...I don't have a blog and curious where do I mention texture tuesday and this fantastic blog to be qualified for the contest? I love your textures and would LOVE to win one of your classes!

For my photo I used PWs' action Soft faded and the Stained Linen texture at 88%. Loved what it did to this picture!

Thanks so much for sharing your textures and the opportunity to win!!!!

Kim

P.S. I love reading your blog, especially when you mention Winners. My dad is from Canada and most of his family still lives there; I have an uncle who LOVES Winners and everytime you talk about that store it reminds me of him.
