{Texture Tuesday} The Number Two eDition

Carmel Beach, CA - mouse over to see the before

It's time for another Texture Tuesday!

This week, we are talking TWO...

Here are this week's TT challenge details.

  • the number 2. Put your twist on the number 2, and use at least one layer of any of my textures.

That's it, that's all!

I'm milking my California photos for all they are worth!! How cool is this guy? I mean seriously..... 'sigh'....

My Photoshop Recipe:

I used some RadLab love on my photo. 3 different 'stylets' at 100%. Warm it up, Clareify and Adrift.

What is this RadLab I speak of? Oh, my..... it's awesomeness!!
Check out my RadLab tutorial at Shutter Sisters HERE..... then run on over to Totally Rad and download the free 30 day trial! So you can try it for yourself!!

It rocks! I mean... seriously....ROCKS!

I then added 2 layers of my latest texture, Phoebe. One layer at soft light 100% and another at multiply 28%.

Then a curves adjustment to tone down the light..... just a little.... (a levels adjustment would also work)

And finally a little dodging around the frame to make it pop ... a tiny bit more.

TK members, watch for the recipe video in the kitchen over the next day or 2.....

Before we get to linking....

Let's talk the next TT theme.

Tuesday, November 15th's TT Theme is:

I'd like to put the latest texture, Phoebe to the test.... What do you say? Are you willing to give it a play?

Your image must contain at least one layer of Phoebe. Click HERE to download it.

New to Texture Tuesdays? Here's the short and sweet TT rules.

  • please link directly to your post, not just to your blog or flickr stream.
  • please link back to the Café. You can grab the TT button HERE, if you wish.
  • please visit the other TT participants and leave them some comment love. Remember it's a party.... and what's a linky party without lots of comment love? Right!

Want more details? Click HERE for the full scoop!

Let's get this party started!!

Shall we?

Registration for the next round of The Essentials is open. Get the details HERE. Class begins next week!! Are you in?

Huge thanks for the amazing love notes you all have been leaving on my Dreaming post!!

And to those of you who have been sharing your dreams.... I am so happy you did! I will be sending you a little email 'cheer'......

I feel like I have so much to much I want to share...especially after reading your comments and emails..... I'm completely bursting.......

more soon....  'sigh'.....

I LOVE RadLab....I bought it after you raved about it right after you discovered it! Didn't use it on my post this time, but I was concentrating on KK textures. ;-)

Awww, what a sweet image from the beautiful Carmel Beach. :)
We have been there once, during our honeymoon. Such a fab place, full of life.
Thanks for letting us know of the free 30 days trial for RadLab. We’d probably never be able to buy it, but we’d love to play a bit.
Thanks for sharing so much of you with us all, Kim! Huggles!

Kim, I have learned and continue to learn so much from you! Last week I read your information about RadLab and immediately had to try it. There is no doubt I will end up buying it. It is fantastic and so much fun to use, and above all else, so easy! I can't encourage people enough to try it.
