{Texture Tuesday} The Orange eDition

mouse over to see the before

We're back with another Texture Tuesday! This week... it's all about orange.

I had some great ideas in my mind...and then today I went pretty much blank. Thankfully, I remembered my sweet little orange cup from Winners.....

Today's image was processed with Totally Rad's new plugin, Rad Lab. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it is!! Seriously!! UNBELIEVABLE... I'd even venture to say... Life Changing!!

You can check it out HERE.

I will share more on Rad Lab soon... I promise.

I don't have a detailed recipe for my orange image.

I did run Rad Lab several times on it and I used a FAB TEXTURE as well.

I call the texture 'Serious Magic'.

For today's photo I used 2 layers, at screen blend mode 100% opacity.

(if you are new to the magic textures, they work wonderfully on screen blend mode.)

Today you can grab 'Serious Magic' Free.

Speaking of textures...did you see the new Ultimate Bundle II? It's a collection of 48 fab textures, by me.... Click HERE to check it out.

Okie doke, before we get to linking up.... let's talk next week's TT theme.

It's been awhile since we've used a specific texture for the challenge..... so what do you say... sound good?

Tuesday, September 6th TT Challenge Details are:

Your image must contain one layer of the latest freebie, Cracker Jack.

If you do not have 'Cracker Jack' yet, be sure to join the Texture Lovin' list. The download link will be sent to your email, upon registration.

New to Texture Tuesdays? Here's the short and sweet TT rules.

  • please link directly to your post, not just to your blog or flickr stream.
  • please link back to the Café. You can grab the TT button HERE, if you wish.
  • please visit the other TT participants and leave them some comment love. Remember it's a party.... and what's a linky party without lots of comment love? Right!

Want more details? Click HERE for the full scoop!

Let's get this party started!!

Shall we?

Good Morning, Kim and other TT'ers, All last week I collected signs for the "Oklahoma Orange" photo. I finished putting the last touches on it Saturday night. Then on Sunday, I saw a beautiful "Orange Mustang." Mustangs are my favorite car so I had to take the shot. I decided I shouldn't make two entries, but can't figure out how to remove the second one. Kim, If you can remove it, I'd appreciate that very much.

Love these challenges and look forward to them every week. It's fun to see what everyone comes up with. There's a lot of serious skills going on here. I'm learning so much from everyone.

Hi, I'm new to Photoshop Elements and am currently taking Kim's Essentials class. I am just starting to participate in Texture Tuesdays and am loving the challenge. Please bear with me as I ask a silly question: When I post my photo and add it to the list up there ^^^, my tiny photo above my name is very blurry and unfocused (when everyone else's is very crisp and clear). Could someone kindly tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thank you!
August 30, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterSherri
@Sherri - can you tell me which photo is yours? which #?

August 30, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterKim

Oops, I'm sorry - my photo is #79.

I love the way the link board looks with all that lovely, warm orange. You should do color challenges more often -- they look so pretty on the blog! ; )
