{Texture Tuesday} The Phoebe eDition

mouse over to see the before

It's time for another Texture Tuesday!

This week we are playing with last week's freebie texture, Phoebe.

Here are this week's TT challenge details.

  • Your image must contain at least one layer of Phoebe. Click HERE to download it.

That's it, that's all!

I needed a little cheer this evening.... so I pulled out a tea rose photo from the archives....

My Photoshop Recipe:

Layer 1: background

Layer 2: black and white adjustment layer at about 75% opacity

Layer 3: duplicated the background and applied a gaussian blur filter at about 10. changed the blend mode to soft light.

Layer 4 & 5: Phoebe texture. One at soft light blend mode 100% and the other at multiply 22%.

Layer 6: Slight levels adjustment for a little pop.

The End.

Before we get to linking....

Let's talk the next TT theme.

Tuesday, November 22nd TT Theme is:

Let's keep it simple. Next week, let's just make it a free & easy eDition.....

Any image with at least one layer of any of my textures. That's it...that's all.

Thank you Kim.
Such a joy playing with this texture.
It makes the background look like impasto.if you ladle it on.

I really like the Phoebe texture and have been using it all week - - there is something so soft about it and as I use it, it brightens photos in unexpected ways. Love it KK.

It is dark and raining outside and your beautiful tea roses have brought a ray of sunshine. Phoebe is such an amazing texture! So soft on your roses, but a little grungy on my yucca blossoms - so much fun to play with! Thank you, Kim! Have a great day!
