{Texture Tuesday} The Pretty in Pink eDition

mouse over to see the before

.....

Monday evening.....

I promise you.... I fully intended to share something new and unique for TT.

I know, I've been milking the peonies for all they are worth....

But I ran out of light!! I'm serious!

I have been up since 5:30 am. I started work at 6. And other than stopping to take Ben to the trail at 11 for his bike ride and again at 7 for his walk....and making the hungry men around here dinner.... I worked, and I worked... then worked some more...

It was wonderful work... loved every minute of it...but.....

I was sure the light would still be right when I got back from the trail this evening....

Wrong.... It was just too cloudy....And my plan for today's pink eDition just didn't happen. :(

Bummer!!  Ugh....

Can we just ignore the fact that I've had a week to do my TT shoot?  oops.... :) But, honestly... that's how i roll... Just call me 'last-minute Kim!' 'sigh'

So, into the archives I went.... I found this peony image and set about processing it.

I have to say I was quite happy with the result... but then I scrolled down my site... and there it was.... this same image... lol... processed with last week's texture!!

Yikes...  my memory is really bad!!

'sigh'

So, here you have it.... yet again...

Processed with this week's texture.... 'aurora'.

Here's my quick and easy recipe.

Opened the image, ran the Nelly Nero action, Modfather.

Tweeked the action a little.

Added the Aurora texture at soft light 100% opacity. Removed the texture a bit from the top left and bottom right. (where the texture's script sat on the petals and pitcher).

That's it. :)

.....

So, I'm pretty sure you all have something much more original... to share!!

I can't wait to see your textured pink eDitions!!

.....

Now ..... for next week's theme.

I just gotta see what you all do with Aurora. I'm thinking some of you may use it with your pink eDitions.....

And that's totally FAB.

But let's go for it..... And do a TT Aurora eDition!

Next week, your image must contain one layer of this week's freebie Aurora.

If you are not on the Texture Lovin' List...sign up HERE and 'Aurora' will land right in your inbox.

New to Texture Tuesday? Read all about it HERE.

I'm signing off...

Oh my gosh...it's 9:06pm and you should see the stack of dishes in the sink!

It ain't pretty, folks!  Ugh....

Let's  get this party started... shall we?

Thanks for being a part of this! You all ROCK!! Seriously!

Have a most fabulous week!

Love & Gratitude....

xxo,

Kim - as always, thank you so much for this weekly opportunity to share with other artists. Your generosity is the key.

As a member of the Texture Loving List, I seem to be missing this week's free texture "Aurora" - would it be possible to re-send the link to the download? I certainly want to be able to participate next week.

Thanks again for the beautiful image above and all you do for your readers.

I know how that goes...most times I'm pretty prepared but I've done the exact same thing with editing. Glad you'll be using Aurora again (I LOVE IT). I started editing a photo with it last night and then realized your theme was pink so I switched gears. I'll just save it for next week!

Once again so many wonderful "Pink" submissions. So much talent out there. I can relate, as most women can, to your day that you describe. I missed TT last week as I was rushing around getting a show together for the weekend. Now the house is in need of attention and I am still chasing deadlines!! Oh well, such is life, it will all get done.

Kim, can you tell me how to link a photo from my blog instead of going thru flick'r? I tried but it didn't work. Thanks for all you do for us. I have learned so much since finding your. Pat

Some things in life are WORTH repeating and this yummy image is one of them! I'm loving this new aurora texture you shared with us! And fortunately for you, but unfortunate for us, most of us can relate to squeezing 30 hours of living into 24!!! Thanks for taking time out of your life to share it with us! Xo

Can't get enough of the peonies, Kim. They are one of my favorite flowers. Too hot to grow them here in Naples, FL - lucky for me I can drool over your photo and remember the days when I was a child - our side garden was overflowing with peony bushes and ants!!
