The Good Life

Hello lovelies,

Oh my... spring has sprung. The sun is shining.... and I've moved my workspace to the front porch.

Woo hoo!

I just can't get enough of the outdoors these days... Although winter was relatively mild... it was just a little too long. I'm itching to soak up the warm spring air.....

I can't believe I get to work on my front porch? I mean seriously? It's the good life...indeedie doo.

if you won the lottery....would you continue doing what you are doing today?

I would!! I really, really would...
Okay..I might take my work on the etc... but honestly... I wouldn't change places for anything. I'm in LOVE with my work and I can pretty much do it from anywhere I want.

I tell you all this.... cause it really is possible to do what you love... and get paid to do it....If I can do this... you can too. When your work is your passion... life can be really awesome.

I have this sweet dream... of inspiring as many people as I can to find their passion, and do what they love. I know it's big...  and bold.. but I really do want to encourage others to GO FOR IT....and help any way that I can.

Passion, perseverance... big, bold intentions...  can be pretty darn powerful.

Xanthe and I hope to share our inspiration, knowledge and all kinds of passion in our upcoming class, Behind the Scenes. The registrations have been coming in quick. We decided to put a cap on enrolment.... So if you are thinking about jumping in... don't wait too long... Spaces are limited.

It's going to be FAB ... so totally FAB.

I do have a lovely little weekend gift.... I didn't use today's new texture on my photo... It just didnt' need a thing... ya know.. :)

Of coures....I love texture... but I don't feel the need to texturize every photo... some photos are just better left alone.... It's fun to mix things up... Dont' you think? :)

Here's today's gift.. I'm calling dear dreamer.

Click HERE to download 'dear dreamer'... I've also included a non-postcard version in the zip folder.

Zip troubles? No worries... I got you covered. Click HERE to download the postcard version, and here to download the non-postcard version.

Until next time....

This texture is super, super cute...and i"m going to have to find a photo to try it out on :) :) Thank you :) :)

If I won the lottery, I would probably still do what I"m doing now....which is looking for a job...but I'd pay off my student loan debt and my parents bills...because that's my big goal in life to be completely debt free :) :)

Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

My computer goes absolutely nuts when I try to download/save a zip file. Not sure what I"m doing I'm not able to save this texture. The other format is so much easier for me :( :(

I'm still loving this texture. Thanks for making it FREE :) :)

Okay... to answer your question...I would continue doing my present calling, but may opt to reducing my hours and use the extra hours for the passion I unearthed two years ago...

I just wanted you to know that your course sounds truly inviting and I hope you will offer it again. I reallyl want to take it, but just signed up for an 8 week school and I want to devote my full attention to the course i am taking. please keep me posted on the next time you offer it. Is there an outline of the curriculum for this course? I would love to see one so i can see how it will enhance what i will be learning this month. Thanks!

So glad you love your work, it trickles to us and we love it. Love your alternate work space! Maybe I should try that but how do you move a desktop computer system outdoors? :) Thanks for the freebie.

Thank you for the lovely texture Kim. I love the picture of your porch and sitting outside and working there, it's no wonder you love your job. If I won the lottery I would continue designing because like you I love what I do. I think that is a blessing to love what you do.

Have a great week.

Thank you for this wonderful texture! I also love to do my work outside, on my back porch. However, my laptop has recently died, so I am stuck inside with all my computer work. Can not wait until I can purchase a new one and get back out there.

I can spend hours on your blog and in the test kitchen. Thanks for all the inspiration!

Kim, I very much like your interestingly composed photo of your front porch workspace. So clean and coordinated, right down to the coffee mug. I see glimpses of an interesting rug, too. The lilacs add just the right touch that says Spring. It's enough to spring me into action, to fiinish arranging my screen porch for summer. Even though for several days we in Maine have had, and will continue to have, such RAIN, I'll get out there and put things right. For me, the time of 'the more plants the better', is over. I'd already planned a cleaner look, still keeping favorite types and colors but not in such profusion as in other years. I want time to work at art, my writing and sewing also. And letters to family and friends. I see many nice flowering perennial plants in my yard each time I look, and would like my screened porch worktime to be relaxing. Thanks for your inspiring photo. Now I know exactly what I want to do with my space.
