The Lake Walk

Hello my friends.

How are you?  How's your week?

I just wanted to pop in and say hi.... 

 and share a little walk along the lakeside with you all.

Check out Mr. Ben.  He's getting a little freedom...and my does it make that tail go swish.... Actually we are both soaking up the freedom.... 

As you can see it's still very much winter here.  In fact I've been told winter is planning on sticking around..... possibly right through April.  Yikes....  :)

 

There's just something about white...so beautiful.....  Even weeds look pretty...against it. :)

I was telling my friend PG I would paint my whole house white if John was willing! But there's no way he will ever agree to paint over the antique oak.... No way!!

How bout you? What 'color' are you digging these days?

A lovely walk it was. But cold. I'm ready for warm. So at this moment, the colors I prefer are a bright sky blue and the gold of the early morning, late evening sun. The colors we see little of this time of year.

I would take white over the 'grungies' that are left after the snow gets a day of rain! But it almost felt like early spring today. I bought a creamy white miniature rose in a pot to put in my north window....just about the only place I have good light. I even rearranged my furniture so I could put a plant 'stand' there and see if I can actually have some flowers in the house! So glad to see that Ben is rehabbing well.

I have always loved white. I love white winters and I, too, would paint all the oak cupboards white and can just envision all my husband's antiques with a coat of distressed white! Enjoyed your walk and ours too - the lighting is so amazing just before the sun goes down!

It is so wonderful to see Ben out and about! I like the "4 patch" mosaic - lovely. I'm enjoying sunny blue skies and snow shadows (when we have them). I'm looking forward to the blues of the lake and all the colored reflections on the water that we'll enjoy as soon as the ice melts!

Its so nice to see Mr. Ben up and about. Love that picture with the stone edge to it. Beautiful. I love white also with a really soft teal thrown in. Although the purple family is sneeking up on me these days too. The problem with me is i am a Gemini so i have all these different hats..........
